SOURCE: asking me for wi-fi password

The wifi password is the same as wireless network key (either WPA or WEP key). That's the same password that you used when you tried to connect to the wireless network using your laptop.

SOURCE: i can not remember my wi-fi password. i need it to

If you have tried the default passwords (blank, admin or sysAdmin) and they don't work, you will need to reset it back to factory settings. You can do this by finding a hole at the back of the unit and pressing the hidden switch there for a few seconds. After that it should be back to its original configuration. You will obviously have lost any changes you made to it since you took it out of the box.

How do i change my wifi pw

Need more info.

Do you want to change the wi-fi password for everything. That would be in your router. Or do you want to change the wi-fi password on one device so that you can connect to a system.

If it is for the whole system, you will need to tell us what model your router is.

Hi i want to change my password on my Huawei router. how do i reset it . Thanks

To reset the password on your Huawei router, you can follow these general steps:
  1. Access the Router Settings:
    • Connect your computer or mobile device to the Huawei router via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable.
    • Open a web browser and enter the default IP address of the router in the address bar. The default IP address for Huawei routers is often "192.168.1.1" or "192.168.0.1". If these addresses don't work, you can check the router's documentation or look for the default IP address on the router itself.
    • Press Enter to access the router's login page.
  2. Log in to the Router's Configuration Page:
    • On the login page, enter the username and password. The default login credentials are usually provided on the router or in the documentation. Common default usernames and passwords for Huawei routers are "admin" for both the username and password fields.
    • Click on the Login or Sign In button to proceed.
  3. Navigate to the Password Settings:
    • Once you are logged in, find the settings section related to Wi-Fi, Wireless, or Security.
    • Look for an option named "Password," "WPA Key," or "Pre-Shared Key" to change the Wi-Fi password.
    • If you want to change the router's administration password (used to access the router's settings page), look for an option like "System," "Administration," or "Management" settings.
  4. Change the Password:
    • Enter your desired new password in the appropriate field.
    • Make sure to choose a strong and secure password that includes a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters.
    • Some routers may require you to re-enter the new password to confirm it.
  5. Save the Changes:
    • After entering the new password, look for a "Save," "Apply," or "Submit" button to save the changes.
    • Click on the appropriate button to save the new password.
  6. Test the New Password:
    • Disconnect any devices currently connected to the Wi-Fi network.
    • Reconnect the devices to the Wi-Fi network using the new password to ensure it is working correctly.

I have a digiland dl 9002 (bk32) the wrong password to netgear 74 router was entered how do you change password to correct?

there might be a setting in the digiland dl 9002 to forget wi fi connection in the wi fi list of possible wi fi networks.

or reset the unit
they apparently have a small hole that you put a paper clip into and push hidden button to reset the tablets settings to factory default.
With tablet back camera facing you there should be a hole at left bottom corner of back of tablet .
Press and hold this in with the paper clip or a tooth pick
unit should power down
then press power button to power back up
it should be reset to factory defaults

Unable to connect to wi-fi network. password entered years ago so forgotten,

If you have no other access to the internet then this may be a little challenging. Of course if you have no other access you can't read this answer!

Get the name and model of your router and google. Find the manufactures setup instructions. Find how to reset the router usually with a paper clip.

The best course of action is to start all over as if your router is brand new out of the box.

If your only access is via wi-fi then on the back of the router there is usually a reset button that returns the router to its original factory setting. This will reset the password.

Next plug everything in and you should be able to access the router, not the internet.

Next you may be required to enter the default password, usually "admin" to start making the necessary changes in the setup. This is where you would enter/change the assigned password to secure the wi-fi connection.

Hope this helps?

If I get a default password must I change my other devises which obviously use another password?

depends. If you are referring to the admin function of the router then the password to it is only needed to change the router settings.
If you change the Wi-Fi encyrption key on WPA or WEP key via the admin function then any computer using Wi Fi would need to match the WPA key or WEP key to access the wi fi.
If the default password does not work the router may be able to be reset to factory settings if you do not know password which requires you to set everything up again in the router and is not easy to set up unless you know the isp settings and network settings.

I purchased a new IPOD and I can not access the wifi from my Linksys wireless router.. I reset my Linksys router to try to solve this problem. And at first when the light was amber I was able to have...

Resolution If you know there is a nearby Wi-Fi network, but you are unable to locate it on the Settings > Wi-Fi screen:
  • Move closer to the Wi-Fi router or hotspot.
  • If you are using a personal Wi-Fi network, verify the Wi-Fi router is connected to power and turned on.
  • Wi-Fi networks configured as "closed" or "private" do not broadcast the network name to Wi-Fi devices.
    • Join a "closed" or "private" network by tapping Settings > Wi-Fi > Other and entering the Wi-Fi network name, security, and password.
After joining a Wi-Fi network, if you notice the signal strength is low or intermittent
  • Move closer to the Wi-Fi router or hotspot.
  • Check for any sources of potential interference.
  • Remove any cases or attachments on your device that could interfere with a Wi-Fi signal.
If you are unable to access the Internet while connected
  • If you are using a commercial Wi-Fi network that requires a special login or subscription, see this article for more information.
  • If you are in a location with multiple Wi-Fi networks, verify that you are selecting the correct network.
  • Verify that the Wi-Fi network settings are correct:
    • Tap Settings > Wi-Fi.
    • Locate the Wi-Fi network you are currently using and tap ts1398_2.jpg
      blank.gif
  • You can configure network-specific settings, including IP address, DNS, and Search Domain settings.
  • Use "Forget this Network" to reset settings for this particular Wi-Fi network, including the password. This is also useful if you identify a network issue and want to prevent the device from automatically using this network in the future.
  • Use "Renew Lease" to acquire new IP address, DNS, and Search Domain information from the Wi-Fi network.
  • Note: If the Wi-Fi network uses MAC address filtering, you will need to add the MAC address to the access list for the Wi-Fi router. The MAC address for your device is listed as the Wi-Fi Address in Settings > General > About.
If you are still unable to join a Wi-Fi network, or are unable to access the Internet while connected, try the following
  • Restart the device
    • Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the power button to turn it back on.
  • Reset network settings by selecting Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings, including passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
  • iPhone only: If you continue to experience issues, consider turning off Wi-Fi and using the cellular data connection instead of Wi-Fi.
Additional Information If using a Wi-Fi router at home, refer to your user manual/documentation to assist you with some of these suggestions.
  • Check the manufacturer's website for your Wi-Fi router for firmware or software updates.
  • Verify the Wi-Fi router can broadcast an 802.11b/g signal. If using a 802.11n Wi-Fi router, consult the manual/documentation for how to configure the Wi-Fi router for 802.11b/g compatibility.
  • If you are using multiple WEP keys on your Wi-Fi router, try configuring your Wi-Fi router to use only a single WEP key.
  • Try or resetting (or turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router. Note: If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
  • Disable wireless encryption or security on the Wi-Fi router to rule out encryption issues. If this resolves the issue, try using a different encryption or security protocol.
