Re: ipod touch won't connect to wifi
There's a possibility that the password that the network was asking is the 'network key' (e.g. WEP or WPA-PSK). If this is the password that the network is asking for, you need to contact the administrator of that network and ask for the Network Key, because that network is secured. They put this kind of security to prevent unauthorized users to connect to their wireless network.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

It is not possible to see again the wifi password that you have typed on your ipod touch. Once it is typed, it is automatically saved in your device. And as soon as you turn on the wifi switch it will automatically connect your device to that password of the wifi network.
You can have the password back if only you have also used it to your laptop.
1. Choose (Settings) then (WiFi) then (turn WiFi on)
2. Set iPod touch to ask if you want to join a new network:Choose (WiFi) and turn (Ask to Join Networks) ON or OFF.
Then you'll need to join a WiFi network (your D-Link for instance)
1. Choose (Settings) then (WiFi) then wait until your D-Link shows up in the list of networks.
2. Select your network and if you have a password for your router make sure you type it. (networks that require a password have a lock icon next to it) then tap (join)
Once you join a WiFi network manually, iPod touch will automatically connect to it whenever the network is in range. If more than one previously used network is in range, iPod touch joins the one last used.
When iPod touch is connected to a WiFi network, the WiFi icon in the status bar at the top of the screen shows the connection strength. The more bars you see, the stronger the connection.
Go to Settings and then click on Wi-Fi select your
home wifi network and then put in your wifi network password and you will be able to connect.
The password will be the one you use for your own computer to link up to your own wifi network. Hope this helps.
No, iPod touch have no way of connecting to the internet other than wifi (unlike iPhone that has 3G).
This means that there must be wifi signal around you before you can browse the web or receive email.
To check for available networks around you, on your iPod touch, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, then select the network that you want to use.
Often times, wifi networks are secured by a password, meaning, you need to ask permission to the owner of that signal to gain access. In a cefe for example, you can gain access to their secured network by simply asking the person in the counter.
Are you saying that when you attempt to play a game, it tries to use the Internet, which then prompts you for a password?
Either someone configured your WiFi network to require a password (ask your friends/family), or you're attempting to connect to someone else's WiFi network that requires a password (tsk tsk).
Or, if you're talking about the screen lock code (4 digit password when you turn on your iPod), and you don't know the code, you'll need to restore your iPod. Connect it to your computer, run iTunes, select your iPod on the left side, then click the "Restore" button.
You must have your wireless profile's name and passkey. Try resetting your router, then make sure you create a new profile for your desktop and take note of the details (ie name, WEP/WPA Key) Should work just fine if you follow the steps.
