The manufacturer of the boat should be capable to give you the make/type/power/serial information if you give them model and serial of the hull.
At least if it wasn't changed during the lifetime of the boat.

The serial number on the boat is located on the back (transom) right hand side near where the hull meets the deck. On the outboard motor it's on the bracket that attaches the motor to the transom and usually on the engine block as well.
