Question about Interactive Toy Concepts Polaris Sportsman 800 Remote-Control ATV
I just replaced a cooling fan in a 2005 polaris atv 500. When the battery terminals were connected, the cooling fan comes on without the key on. There was a burning smell and a crack. I disconnected and reconnected again and the fan still comes on. It still works even though something was burning. What would cause the fan to come on?
Thermostat switch has been by-passed, when machine gets up to temp, the switch sends power to the fan, when the switch goes bad the machine will overheat due to the fan not kicking on. make sure the switch has not been by-passed and wired direct.
