Broken head bolt

1..Asertain the size of the bolt.
2. down to the hardware/tool suppliers & get a drill bit & a reverse tap.
for that size bolt +tube of cutting paste.
3use a sharp nail & very gently tap the centre of the bolt - this will stop the bit from wavering - dip the bit into the cutting paste & gently drill at least deep enough to give reverse bit enough bite.
4.insert the r/bit into a handle that comes with it - insert into the c/paste & very gently tap it - turning to the left till u feel it lock - continue it the bolt turns out.
TOOLS;drill, nail, hammer, bit & reverse bit .cutting paste.

I have a power acoustik ibm12000d amp had it installed to weeks ago wired at one ohm to a 15inch acoustik p3 sub worked good for to weeks hit good and everything but now its cutting off when turned up I...

Sounds like an over current condition. Your sub may be the problem. Does it go into protect mode when it cuts out? remove the sub and turn up the volume and see if it cuts out when you keep increasing the volume. If not, then it may be that the sub shorts out when turned up too much, kicking the amp into protect mode. If it still cuts out, then it may be the amp. Try another sub if you have one or borrow one from a friend.

My subwoofer doesn't receive power, all amp fuses are fine, amp powers on, remote wire and rca wires are connected and intact. Before it stopped working all together the woofer would cut out and after...

If you are getting power to the amp, try this....Find a small speaker, unhook your sub and wire speaker to amp. Turn on your system at a low volume....If the other speaker is playing through amp, then your sub is shot.....If the small speaker doesnt work, then its either your channel is gone on the amp or the rcas have quit off off your head unit.

The three wires to the tow lights have been cut, and i cant find where in the harness they are cut can i bypass it all and just rerun new wires?

Yes. But do you have seperate yellow turn signal lights in the rear or do the turn signals work independant of the brake lights? If yes then you need to wire in a taillight converter. It takes your seperate left & right turn signals combines them with your brake lights on 2 wires instead of 3 leaving you with your normal 4 wires in total instead of 5. 1 Left turn & brake light. 1 Right turn & brake. 1 Taillight. 1 Ground. = 4 wires in total. If you dont have seperate rear turn signals just find left turn wire in taillight assembly, Right turn wire & Taillight & a good ground & you are done. On trailer plug yellow is left, green is right ,brown is tailight & white is ground.

My inside highs cut out . want causes this?

Alot of amps and speaker crossover have protection circuits built into them so when you turn up the music to much it's there so you don't blow your speakers. Try turning down the gain on the amp if that does'nt work check your speaker wiring for out of phase meaning
+ - wires are backwards. To test them use a 9v Battery touch the speaker wire to the + - terminals on the battery if the speaker pops out it's inphase and good if it pops in it is out of phase reverse wires and if all that checks out get a stonger amp.

Speakers cut off when bass goes up

probably the amp going to safe or protect mode judging by the fact that you have 3 subs wired to it i would say it is not 1 ohm stable try disconnecting 1 sub and see if it still happens this will be running a 2 ohm load rather than 1 if it stops happening then you need to figure out a better wiring configuration that will work with your amp.

Amp cuts off

sounds like you are overheating the amp, if the amp has a fan to cool it off, make sure it is turning on and working... if it is not then replace the fan to fix the problem...also turn the amp gain down a little bit and try running it again and see if it still shuts off...if it doesn't shut off then you have teh gain to high and are cutting out the amp with to much power going thru it...

1 10 jl jl 250/1 mono block amp cuts off an on help

your subwoofer is wired incorrectly to your amplifier. Figure out which ohm load of subs you have and then what ohm load options your amp is stable at. Next go to either the Crutchfield website. find their learning center. go to subwoofer wiring diagrams. or go to www.the12volt.com and find their section on it
