Hi,

That is a on going problem with power washers the pump not working, than works sporadically. the main cause is leaving the pressure hose hooked up to the machine over a long period of ,not draining hose & machine, in the winter time the hose & pump willfreeze causing hose & pump to expand and burst. build up of calcium deposits from hard water clogging up pump nozzle, valves in the gun handle, clogging hose fittings and screens.one of these has to be your problem.you can find a parts brake down at KARCHER.COM.orRJ BOWERS.COM . and manuals, these are good info, sites, hope this helps, MrFixIt,oh could you please rate this solutions

If it is not leaking water anywhere and the nozzle is OK then go HERE
Turn it off and shut the water of. Go to pate 2.1 of the manual
Carefully remove part #2. Pull out part # 1 and make sure the O-rings are in good shape ad are lubricated with a good waterproof grease. Re-assemble and try it.

Thanks for contacting Fixya

What is a bypass unloader

According to epowerwash.com:
"The unloader valve diverts water flow into bypass when the trigger gun valve is closed. Unloaders may be designed to respond to either an increase in pressure or a change in flow. The unloader valve may also be used for variable pressure adjustment."

I bought a honda pressure washer power boss 3000. I load the gasoline, start the machine, but pressure water is not coming out from the trigger. i tried so many things , but can t get started.

If you are using a water tank for water supply, remove the water supply line from the pressure washer and connect a water hose from a faucet. Turn the water on, then crank the engine. Pull the trigger of the spray gun until water comes out. When then water starts to spray properly the release the trigger, shut engine down with pressure on the line then reconnect the water supply from the tank to the pressure washer. If this fixes the problem then the problem was "air-locked"! Happens alot with new pressure washers that have never been run. Water leaking from spray gun

It depends on were the water is leaking from on the gun. If the water is leaking from were the high pressure hose goes into the gun it could be that on oring as been damaged. If the water is coming from the trigger you may need a new trigger gun.

If you tell me your model number (1.xxx-xxx.0) i can tell you the part number that you will need to give to your Karcher dealer/supplier to replace it.

I purchased a reconditioned Karcher 4000 and upon first use, the spray surges. It will go down to almost nothing then back up to full blast in about 5 second increments. Any advice?

Bleed the system by running water without the unit on, You have an air lock, open the drain cocks and allow water to run slowly for 2 minutes, then close everything and try it

Karcher K 3.68 M operation

These units have pressure valves that automatically turn off the pump once the pressure is high enough. The pressure switches do fail and sometimes stick and act as you've described.

Can't get the spray gun onto the hose from the washer...no manual

Your posting is incomplete, so I'm not quite sure what we're dealing with here.  I understand the machine and the high-pressure hose are Karcher - right?  Is the gun also a Karcher part?  If all are Karcher parts, they should fit unless the screw threads have been damaged.  If they are not all Karcher parts, they will not fit because Karcher connectors are different from almost all others.
Please post again if this doesn't help, giving as much detail as possible, and I'll see what else I can offer.
