Question about Panasonic Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

Panasonic RX ES27 Power supply problems. The machine works with batteries, but the mains supply would be lost after about an hour's playing - then 45 mins then 30 mins until now it will not work at all on the mains. Taking the top off, the fuse in the mains power supply is ok. Where to go from here? Are parts available for this model or can the power supply be repaired?

SOURCE: INFOCUS LP240 POWER SUPPLY PROBLEM

Caps being burned. caps usually go bad or explode because of to much voltage, was it hit by lighting?
But you say the fuse is ok... I would look for voltage regualtors or resister type fuses that are blown.
you might want to check with ptscorp.com to see if you can send in the power supply.

SOURCE: dead set

Im not sure if this will fix your tv, but mine was powering off intermittently. I found a defective
2200uf Capacitor on the power supply board. Take a look at the top of the capacitor cans,
mine was popped up an looked damaged.

SOURCE: TV does not appear to be powered. Either fuse or power supply

The fuse is in the power supply. It's a slow blow fuse rated 250V 5A.

SOURCE: Steam iron trips the main fuse

It could be your iron drawing too much current but it sounds more likely that you have a weak circuit breaker on that circuit. You might try the iron on a different house circuit to confirm if its actually the iron or the house breaker giving you problems.

My RX-V2095 Yamaha receiver won't power up.

Wont power up, or stuck in "protect mode"? Unplug the unit & let it sit for a couple hours, then plug back in & listen for a "click" a turn (power supply relay energizing.) If no lights & no click, the first place to check is the mains fuse. If the unit is under warranty - take to an authorized facility & they will take care of it for you.

Have an electric run pellet fire what size car or truck battery to run for 8 hours 520 watts

You'll need a 600W (Minimum) 12 to 240V Inverter as in the link below.

http://www.powerinverter.co.nz/16-10-12v-to-220v-power-inverter-600watts.html

As for the battery you will need 44Amps of Battery Power for every hour you want to run the equipment (this is without any losses from the inverter on inefficiency from the battery). You would therefore need as a minimum 2 x 200Ah 12V Batteries connected in parallel for something like your 8 hour duty. You'll also need them to be this sort of size so that they can supply the high current for a long duration. i.e. a 44Ah Battery would not supply 44Amps for 1 hour.

Hope this is OK and please leave feedback.

Cheers

Andy

IT WILL NOT POWER UP

Will the unit run on batteries, if so! the ac power going into the power supply is the problem. The fuse or the power transformer are most likely the issues. Now if the batteries or ac power do not power the radio then we probably are looking at processor ic problem. The cost to repair should be questioned.

I have the same TV and the same problem. Mine would play for a few hours then "pop" and power off. I had to turn main power off, let sit for awhile then it would play again. My local repair place came out and installed new power supply but that wasn't the problem. Had to take set to the shop where they found I had a bad amplifier board. It's on backorder with Pioneer.

Yamaha RV-V2200 without power loses settings under 24 hours

It could be a battery, a bit like the type you get in watches. But I reckon it's a memory retention capacitor that has failed. These are small looking things that look like electrolytic capacitors that have been squashed from above. They appear to have a working voltage of around 5.5 volts too. I am enclosing a picture of one, though it could vary in style. You might find it near the main display of the unit.

Might be stuck in hibernation. Pull the battery and ac power for about 1 hour. Replace and try to boot. If fails, pull the battery and try to boot just off ac power.

Panasonic dvd recorder model dmr-e55eb/ebl. played dvd,no problem - ejected dvd - green/blue colouring appeared on TV which disappeared when dvd recorder switched off. since then unable to play dvds. ...

This is a problem with either the logic or the power supply. Without seeing the machine and taking measurements inside, I can't state for sure the exact problem. These are decent machines. I would suggest that you bring it to an authorized Panasonic service center for a repair estimate. Post the results here and we'll suggest the next steps.

Lose time and date stamp on power off

According to the manual, you need to power up your 710 with the AC adapter for 4 hours to recharge the internal battery. If this doesn't work, I suppose you need to replace the internal battery, and that's beyond my knowledge.
