How to Enable Delete Confirmation Dialog Box in Windows 8 and 8 1
You don't state your operating system, but I'm guessing you are possibly using Windows 8 and are missing the delete confirmation. It was removed by default. You can easily re-enable it. The same process holds true if you are on Windows 7 as well.
You can see the steps to complete in the attached link. Essentially you just Right-Click the Recycle Bin, select Properties, and on the properties menu put a check mark in the "Display delete confirmation dialog" box.
