Make sure you are powering off both then power on the router then the Comcast modem when it is connected to the Internet port. Make sure your router is pulling an IP from your Comcast provided modem by looking at the status within the routers web page.

Check on your cables makes sure they are inserted properly and the cord should be free of kinks, scrapes or loose connections......Also check the back of your computer make sure your ethernet card (the one that has the green lights/LED's) is seated properly (not loose)....

Good Luck.....hope this helps...if not let us know....cheers

Belkin G wireless Router

Do you have an all-in-one router from Comcast? For example, do you have the cable (RF) line and your PC plugged into the Comcast router? If so, unplug your PC from the Comcast router and connect the Internet port of the Belkin to the ethernet port on the Comcast router. Then plug your PC into the LAN port on your Belkin.

[PC] ---> [Belkin] ---> [Comcast] ---> Internet

Once you have connected your boxes as displayed above, you will need to power everything off and bring up the boxes in the following order:

Comcast (wait 60 seconds)
Belkin (wait 60 seconds)
PC

If you cannot get out to the internet, momentarily press the reset button on the back of the Comcast box. Comcast routers are weird. A poweroff should reset the router but I have seen a few times where nothing works until the reset button is pressed (this is also recommended by Comcast).

I hope this helps.

My ps3 continues to lose internet conection to my wireless router. The router I am using is a belkin G plus mimo. it always happens about 5-10 minutes into a game (college football 09). My new internet...

there are many possible reasons and solutions for this
-sometimes the weather can block the signal to a router or PS3
-the closer the router is to your PS3 the better the signal
-try not to have a wall interfering with the signal to the ps3
-a computer in your house may have a signal that is interfering with the signal to your ps3
-maybe comcast just sucks?
-try using a wired connection
