How can I embed a YouTube channel (not just individual videos) on my Facebook page? I've tried pasting the channel embed code into an FBML box--doesn't work. I've tried doing it with YouTube Box--no luck. Can anyone tell me how to make this code work in a static FBML box:

Replace the code 'container=youtube' by 'synd=open', that should do the trick

  1. Click on the "Share" button underneath the YouTube video.
  2. Select "Show more," and then click on the Blogger icon.
  3. Depending on whether or not you're signed in to your blog, you might have to enter in your username and password in the new window that pops up.
  4. At the top of the new window, choose the blog you would like to post to from the drop-down menu.
  5. Publish your post!

Embedding manuallyAlternatively, you can copy the embed code and paste it into your blog. Just click on "Share" and then on "Embed" to find the embed code. Copy the code, then paste it into your blog while on the "Edit HTML" tab (as opposed to the "Compose" tab).

Hyperlinked image on your facebook page using FMBL

To add a hyperlinked image to your fan page for a logo OR some other use follow these easy steps:
  • Make sure you’ve installed the staticFBML application
  • Make sure your image is the right size (max 160 pixels wide) you can resize this in either Adobe Photoshop OR similar package.
  • Load your image into a photo album on facebook even your own web server if you have one I use ImageShack for ease
  • Check out my tip HERE for help with adding SWF to your facebook page and weblogs.

To make the image appear on your fan page wall, follow these steps:
First go to your fan page and click Edit Page (just below your fan page picture)

Click the pencil icon on the right of the FBML application in your list of applications, shown here are two that I have already created.

Add the Title you want displayed above your image/icon/logo then in the FBML area, paste the following code, replacing the items in between the ” to reflect your image. Note you mayneed to can change or delete the width and height information.

<img src=”http://www.YOUR-IMAGE-URL.com/IMAGE-NAME.jpg” title=”YOUR IMAGE TITLE” width=”130′ height=”130′><br>

I have shrunk the screendump for ease, this window is much bigger. If you can't get this to work on your FMBL I have included an example below for you to test.

<a href=”http://www.retaggr.com/page/SpideRaY” target=”_blank”><img src=”http://img441.imageshack.us/i/retaggr.jpg” title=”Retagger Profile” width=”187′ height=”70′ /></a><br >

Having trouble embedding youtube video on beforeitsnews.com

This is the code from a video that I put into a wine supplier website. In Dreamweaver, the box is blank and wants to convert it, but when it does, it breaks it. In the site, it displays fine. Try my code with your link.

<object width="480" height="385">
<param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CxoJbqtq_3o?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0" />
<param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" />
<param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" />
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CxoJbqtq_3o?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed>
</object>

Sending a you tube video to a friend

Here you go, from the following site:

http://www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?answer=57741

Sharing videos It's easy to share videos you've found on YouTube with your friends and social networks. Simply click the Share button underneath any video on the Watch page, then select any of the following options:
  • Link to this video - a shortened URL to the video, which you can copy and paste elsewhere, such a in an email message or IM window. Check the HD URL box, if available, to have the link direct to a high-definition version of the video.
  • Email this video - have YouTube send an email to the email address(es) you enter.
  • Embed - generate code allowing you to embed the video in your own website or blog.
  • Social networks - click the Facebook or Twitter icon, or click the show more link for more options, including orkut, StumbleUpon, and tumblr. Then simply sign in and follow the instructions to share your video.

I would like to embed a customized zeemap on our Facebook fbml landing page. When I paste the code, nothing appears.

I think Facebook doesn't allow iframe code embeddings...ZeeMaps uses an iframe to embed a map.
We'll see if we can provide a flash version that you can embed in FB. Contact us at support dot zeemaps dot com.

This is simple.

Select the URL in the URL field at the top right of the page in the gray box (under the video description).

Paste the URL into your Facebook status. Facebook will automatically detect that it's a video and embed it for you!

ADDDING YOU TUBE VIDEO PLAYER TO MY WEBSITE

The only way to do that is to use the Embed code listed on Youtube's video's web-pages. For instance, visit this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fej9EWWLSsw

On the right, under the description of the film, there's a text-field with the text, "Embed" to the left of it. Copy that code and paste it into your HTML file on your web-page. Now that video can be played for your web-page.

Let me know if you need more assistance or if I need to explain anything mentioned above in more detail. If this solution solved your problem, please rate it.
