It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question

Close door push start and it says door

Possible that the door safety switch is not contacting and is defective. Remove power and check from inside the unit for the continuity of the door switch.
If open it can be shorted for a trial run to confirm and then replaced.

My Servis 1300 AA wont start properly, the start button just keeps flashing. We have got it working a couple of times by repeatedly whacking the door but its not the solution! any help would be great...

It is possible the the door switch has failed and so unless this switch contacts when closed the program will not start as a safety measure for filling water to the tub.
So remove power and slide the machine to check the door switch for continuity , you can short to test this switch before replacement.

Push button on.. nothing happings power still going through... is ther a braker in in side the dryer in case it gets to hot...and shuts off...

check the door safety switch to make sure its working, if it shorted or just died, the machine will seem dead,, if the machine over heated, you could have a faulty thermostat , Located along the burner tube in the back of the machine, Most machines have 2 or more, they can be checked with a meter

When I turn on unit, a message "overload" appears.

Check the speakers and the power supply for any signs of shorting.
This is due to the fact that the safety circuit works to switch off the set preventing a high damage.
So check the output for short or the presection .

Power is on but wont start

well without knowing any other info, the 'door open' safety override switch has probably shorted so when you close it it does not complete the circuit. I would have that switch replaced, its like a $2 part and see how it runs. If this doesn't do it, you'll need to give some better details

your machine has a short circuit in it especially if it's not electronic..Most likely the motor windings..you have to pull out the motor and perform necessary tests..you need the technical know-how to do it..

I HAVE THE YARD MACHINE RIDING LAWN MOWER 742 MTD EVERYTIME I PUT IT IN REVERSE IT DIES OUT ON ME

I believe your reverse safety switch is shorting out when you shift it. Take off the cover where the shift lever is and remove the wire from the safety switch. If this cures the problem, replace the switch.
