Hi im using the iphone 2g, first of all, my sleep

hi im using the iphone 2g, first of all, my sleep / wake button didnt work a few months ago. So i cant turn the iphone off or use any restart mode without using jailbreak software, just now, the iphone hang up, i cant use any button , it doesnt seem to work, i tried using iliberty to unlock or jailbreak it again but still nothing works.

It shows the progress animation ( the symbol where u just installed an app or something ) should i let the battery run out, could it help solve the problem?
