Answering machine in Spanish not English

My answering machine talks in Spanish and I don't understand Spanish. How do I change the base unit language to English?

I just received my unit and for some reason the unit is in spanish which I do not understand. How do I get it to be in english.


Try this procedure:
Press TOOLS, the spanner symbol on the page with WHERE TO and VIEW MAP
Press SETTINGS, the spanner symbol, or LOCALE, the blue symbol on models that don't have a settings menu
Press LANGUAGE the lips symbolThis will bring you to a page with 3 items on it; VOICE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD
Press VOICE and select an English speaking voice
Press TEXT LANGUAGE and select English or American English if you're in the USA

This should solve your problem

Answering service recording in Spanish. I want it in English.


Go to the Options button on the phone base. It should Say Language > English.

Reset my phone base speaking spanish reset to english


Press the ans on/off button on the base to turn answering machine on. Message indicator should light up. Now press and hold the skip button for 2 seconds. This will change the language back to english. Repeat the steps if you want to go back to the other language.

Change answering machine from Spanish to English


On the GE models believe itor not extremely simple: press and hold the "skip" button on the base until desired language is spoken. Had the same problem and after searching the web and being on hold for 45 minutes, I could't believe how easy the answer was!

The Phone's mode is stuck on Spanish


Press and hold the "Skip" button. I did this while the answer machine was ON. The english voice will say that the language has changed to english.
