Problem for Dell Latitude D600 PC Notebook

My dell inspiron 1520, it just keeps flashing

my dell inspiron 1520, it just keeps flashing orange continounsly. IT DOESNT DO ORANGE 4 TIMES THEN GREEN. it just flashes continously when plugged to AC. and when the power is unplugged, it laptop goes off.

- hi.. it comes on without the battery. from the bios settings, it shows its not communicating with the battery. then after booting, it shows, 'plugged but not charging". what could i do.

Hi,
There could be a problem with the battery, try taking the battery out and boot the laptop on AC power only, if the machine comes on then the battery may need replacing.
