I cannot enter an address. Not my home, not "Where to", NONE.
I have great gps signal, battery strength and all. I cant enter any address for the "Where To", or for my own home address. I tried different abbreviations, spellings, different cities, streets, everything. Nothing works. It always says...."No Match Found" I have the Garmin Nuvi 205w. Please help!

Probably the Router signal strength is low. You need to open the EWS page ( Router configuration page ) and increase the signal strength to 11 ( it must be Auto or 1,2,3, etc )
EWS Page ( Router page ) can be opened using the Router IP Address which may be 192.168.1.1 or if you know it. Open Internet Explorer and enter the ip address and hit enter ( without www or .com )
Under Wireless configuration or settings you will find the Channel Strength. You need to restart your Laptop to get connected again to the network after saving the settings are you will loose the internet connection.
You can charge while driving, but I have been told that every so often you should let the battery run flat. If you dont have to put your home address as your home location, enter an address 2 streets away, it will be close enough for you to know your way home or just enter it as one of your favourites under you first name or something. I had a similar problem and did solve it with the soft reset (pressing reset button). I have a One XL and there is a small reset button that you push with a paper clip. On the XL 330 you press and hold the on/off button for 15 seconds and the unit should reset.
My symptoms: Would not find a GPS signal. When I looked at the GPS Satellite status (press on the GPS signal strength bars, again on the GPS/battery status) you can see it locking on up to 8 satellites but would still not show a gps signal lock. Normally it only takes 4 satellites to get a gps lock. My other sympton was that when I attached the GPS unit to the computer and operated it with TomTom Home, it worked fine and locked on to the gps signal quickly (even inside my home). But it would never (at least for 30 minute trips) lock on to a gps signal. After doing a reset it began working normally and locked on to a gps signal after finding 4 or more satellite signals.
Mine did the same, and said no gps no fix. I called the factory, now called Northstar, tech said to reset unit, and it worked. Great signal strength. Turn unit on and access menu, access factory settings, hit factory reset. However you will lose all your waypoints.
first turn it on and let the unit acquire satellites to find your home state. Then you can set up your address as your "home location". When I first set it up, I was able to pick up the satellites in my bedroom (scary....)...everything worked just fine.
