Question about Dryers
Hello, I have a Kitchenaid Superba mod. #KEYS850LQ1 electric dryer. It will not start, & will occasionally "click'' or ''tick'' like it will before starting the unit. I replaced the door switch for a similar issue about 3 months ago. Difference here is that it has turned on by itself after I left it (while still in the dry cycle and had depressed the start switch). Any ideas? Thanks,Todd
First UNPLUG the dryer! Remove the rear panel of the dryer and locate the fuse. It is white and ¼” wide and 3” long. It is located on the blower housing. Remove the wires and check to see if it has continuity. If it does not, you need to replace it.
Please let me know if this help or if I can assist you further.

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.
