I have a heater that wont stay lit after you hold the pilot for the minute or two that they say I even hold that pilot down for 5 minutes and it wont stay lit can anyone help me
go to this site www dot desatech dot com. Here you'll find parts to repair your heater. a propane heater uses a millivolt generator to sense the flame. along it's cappilary are two push on spde connectors. these connect to the high limit temperature sensor which is mounted on the flame backplate of your heater. to see if it is the high limit shutting down your heater, jumper across the two spade connectors. if the heater stays on, this is your problem. if the flame still goes out, then the millivolt generator is shot.

I have a 1999 (Goodman) GDT070-3A. Last night my girlfriend noticed
that the heat was not working, having used the status light to
troubleshoot problems last year, with the heating element or glow plug,
I was able to see 3 blinks of the light. After reading several
questions from her, and having disconnected the tube and checked bothe
ends for obstruction, I pulled the board off and checled the back it
looks as though is has shorted there is some black soot, but no bubling
of the board arriving at her hous ehtis morning the heat is working. It
shuts of when the thermostat is turned down and when it is turned back
up it fires right up no problemsa hot air, last night it wouldnt stay
lit and kept erroring out with three blinks,?????What gives???just
intermittent performance from a fried board or what why is it working
this morning???
