I just re-formatted my computer. Now my Media Center will not work correctly. It will play a TV show but it jerks (sound and picture constantly). I have looked all over for updates but can't seem to find the right one. Any ideas on this? Thanks

- Thanks but I am not that computer savvy. How do I re-install the video card drivers? Or reconfigure Media Center? I thought there would just be an update I could install. I am also getting the message Media Center was unable to open Messenger. Please make sure Messenger is installed on your system. I don't know what that means either. I don't use MSN Messenger, which is what I thought it meant. Thanks.

- Sorry to be so dense but would the driver be under: Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (26xxx) Legacy Video Capture Devices or Video Codecs? The others listed are all for Audio. I don't want to uninstall the wrong thing and end up worse off than when I started. Thanks so much for your great help.

Hi,
Try reinstalling the video card drivers and see if the signal settles down, if that does not work manually reconfigure Media Center and see if you can tweak it.

Good luck.

- Right click computer, select manage from the list, a new window will pop up so select device manager, in the list you will see "sound, video and game controllers", click on the + sign next to that and expand the tree so you can see your TV card, right click on that and uninstall it, then restart the PC and let it detect and install the drivers automatically for you, then try Media Center again. And yes, your right about it asking for messenger, download and install it to get rid of the annoying message, you don't have to use it.

Good luck.

- Yes that is your TV card, just uninstall that and restart your PC like i said in my last post and let it detect and reinstall the drivers.
