Hold the Wii Remote with the button side down. Without using much force, firmly tap the button side of the remote against the palm of your other hand a few times. Doing this does not take a lot of force, so be sure not to tap the Wii Remote very hard. Check for proper response. If the problem is not solved click here to help you...

Why is lights blinking on wii controller

that means that the wii remote it out of reach (the light that human eyes cannot see is not seen) or you don't have the sensor plugged in,
or the black thing on top is dirty, and you need to clean it for it to work.
(this won't help if your wii is not responding to the wii remote.)

2 Button On Wii Remote Doesn't Work

Have you tried washing the button out with regular rubbing alcohol then let it dry overnight. this should do it, if it don't you will need to take the controller apart to clean the contactor more thoroughlly.

My original wii remote was working but now the lights dont come on i know the console is fine as my other remotes work fine can i repair my remote

Press a button on the Wii Remote, and if the lights blink, but don't stay on, then it might have a problem connecting to your Wii and you may have to re-sync it. If the lights do not come on at all, try changing the batteries to a completely new pair. If the lights still do not come on, part of the Wii Remote may be damaged and you may just have to use a different one.

The control lights of my wii just keep flashing but the controls don't do nothing to the wii, I try new bateries and still don't work

First, remove the battery cover for the Wii Remote
Then open the small panel on the front of your Wii console
While holding down the sync button on the controller, press the sync button located under the small panel on the console, wait a moment, your contoller should then be synced.

I bought drums at a garage sale. I thought they were for Rockband Wii. I bought Rockband 1 for Wii, but I can't get the drums to sync. The screen keeps indicating it can't detect a microphone,...

If the buttons that you have are 1, 2, A, B, then you have the Rockband drums for Wii (the ones for Xbox have X, Y, A, B). You don't need a microphone to play Rockband, you just need to have a Wii remote on when you start the game. That should get rid of the pesky "Can't Detect Microphone" message and let you get to the main game screen to play the rest of the game. Have fun!

My wii remote wont turn on, i even tried a couple different new batteries but still no lights or anything

Have you tried syncing the Wii remotes? To sync, turn the Wii on, open the back of the remote and then press a red button that says "SYNC". Then open the SD card slot in the front of the Wii and press another red "SYNC" button. If you do this, your Wii remotes should be able to turn on.

If your Wii remotes still don't turn on, visit support.nintendo.com

Or call 1-800-255-3700 for assistance on your Wii.

What causes the remotes to stop responding to the system

There could be a few things.

1) if your Wii remote has a fresh pair of batteries you may need to sync it again.

2) This is the one that happend to me - The Wii Jacket wasn't on correctly and was covering the front; anything covering the front of the remote will cause it not to work.

3) If it doesn't have a new pair of batteries, consider switching them out.

4) Wii bar - if anything is in front of the Wii bar - anything preventing you from having a straight line from remote to sensor - this will cause it not to work.

If this doesn't help you completely, please let me know the problem a little more specifically. I would like to help you in any way I can - video game consoles are my expertise. I ask for a good rating to show that I'm on the right track and that you're pleased with the answer.

Respectfully,

- Don

My controller can`t connect to the wii. it tries, but it don`t work. i have tried to syncronize and move the wii away from other connection things like phones.

Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console, just below the disc drive, and press and hold the red SYNC button for 15 seconds. This will clear all synced Wii Remotes from the console. Then try to sync it, press the red button on the console, then open the batteries cover on your
Wii Remote and push the red button there.
