Question about Canon PowerShot S2 IS Digital Camera
My Canon Powershot S2 IS (3+ years old) has gradually developed a problem. Sometimes the screen goes blank, and I have to turn the camera off and back on to get the camera back to where I can take a picture. Also, sometimes when I take a picture really zoomed in, the picture is out of focus. I've called Canon and am told that there's a problem with some kind of sensor and that the repair would cost $139 plus s/h and sales tax but that I could buy a new Powershot SX 10 IS from the factory for $200 with my camera trade in. I just want to know if there is something more I can do before I take any action. I don't feel like I have enough information yet to make an informed decision. It also just doesn't seem right for a 3-year-old camera to be having problems at all.
Take Canon offer or sell your as parts on Ebay. your camera can not be fixed with out great cost and you still have an a camera who's value is not that high.
