I lose picture and it's replaced by black screen w/ colored block
I Have 2 problems. First, when I turn on the TV it cycles on and off 2-3 times before finally turning on . It goes from standby to blinking green lamp, standby, lamp, etc. The 2nd problem is when it does come on, within a couple minutes the screen goes black and there are these colored blocks that appear as a pattern across the screen. If you shut the TV off 2-3 times, everything works just fine. I'm not sure what is causing this to happen. The color wheel went about 3 months ago and the entire (motherboard?) was replaced by a technician because it was under warranty. It was the entire chassis that held the lamp, color wheel, fans, etc. It's no longer under warranty so I'm trying to find out what might be causing it myself.
that doesn't sound right. It happens when I first turn it on so the system is cool. The problem goes away after a few minutes, so I'd be more apt to think it's because it hasn't warmed up, not overheated.that doesn't sound right. How long u have this RCA analoge tv?Around 10 years or more and used it like about 5 or 6 hrs everydays?Yes,than ur tv it is losing CRT tube radiation cohetion. As times go bye years in years out the tv CRT-(tv tube) radiation will slowly dying out,Tv actual pictures will lost some of it luster and it brightnesses to the tv auctual pictures.Brightnesses of CRT tube will get darker and darker until the tv actual pictures barely it is watchable anymore.Contrast,Brightness and Colors adjusting more will help some. But u have to take this tv aparts and take a Flat scerw driver turn up a little bit more of the tv HV-(high voltage) SCREEN button on the FBT-(flyback transformer) to make any big differences of the CRT tube brightnesses. The FBT-(flyback tranformer) is the big block of plastic with a red wire with a black cap hook up to the tv CRT-(tv tube). This adjustment on of the FBT,HV-SCREEN button will help the tv CRT-(tv tube) last another year or two.
I gotta know more clearly about your question, i am going to explain in 'Guide Solutions'
Guide 1: Is it the color just cover the main grid? (Color cover like blocking the others, such as watching 70s TV shows, the colors blocked in black and white.)
Source 1: Audio input problems, your dvd audio input linked with three different 'rops', they are appeared to be push by pressure.
Solution 1: Determine more spaces to them!
Guide 2: Is it the color cover the photon grid? (Color cover at all pictures, each of them doesn't stand the other colors instead of replaced by unique color)
Source 2: Undefined
Solution 2: The TV setting menu seems to b set by specific colors, change it on your own using remote. OR this is a specific part that the DVD need to show the color in unique color (only one)
(No problems, keep watching)!
The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead. The tv have colors lines R,G,B mis alignments, have colors shadow pictures or 3D pictures look alike? The tv convergence board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too. These parts on the tv convergence board, must be replaced to solved the tv picture convergence problems. The shop, will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.
Could be ethier one the dish box or the tv itself have cold solders joints on the FBT-Flyback transformer. That the big black block of plastic with a red wire with a black cap hook to the CRT-(tv tube).Call ur tv Dish box customer service, get a replacement box.See, if this will solved ur tv problems. If not, than the tv must be taken aparts and must have tools like a soldering iron,a roll of solders, also must know basic soldering.Resolders all the coldsolders joints on the FBT for a better High voltages contact to the CRT-(tv tube). This problems, will be solved.
The picture tube is starting to fail. The increased screen voltage allows it to stabilize at the expense of color quality. Sorry to say, but it is time for a replacement.
1) In customer menu, adjust all video controls to center, then
increase "picture" to 3/4
2)Locate focus/screen adjust block above chassis...adjust
RGB screen controls for best mixture = B/W tracking..
Check with customer color level at minimum..should look gray.
If you turn screen controls up too much, you will see faint
re-trace lines in picture.....once B/W looks good,put color level
back to middle...................................................T.
