There is a menu button, the channel buttons move you thru the menu...first setup making sure the setting is on cable...if channel 2/3/4 don't autotune in cable lineup, be sure to go back and manually add otherwise you won't be able to watch using dvd or vcr, or play video games

I hav a duodvr 625 but its olny working for one tv how do i get it to show up on the other tv?

I will assume it was installed to two rooms when installed otherwise it will need to be wired to the second TV.

If it was indeed installed to two TVs at the first tv location with the TV1 remote press MENU-6-1-5. You should now be at the modulator set up screen. Note what channel TV2 is modulated to generally 60 air or 73 cable.

Now go to the TV2 location and run a cannel search. If it does not find the channel go back to tv 1 and change the TV channel to the opposite setting of air or cable based on what it was previously set to and try the channel scan at TV2 again.

If it still does not pick it up then most likely it is not wired for that room.
If the receiver was installed to one location Dish will need to wire the second location for you in order to achieve the desired outcome.

Thanks for using Fix Ya and being a valued Dish Network customer.

Unhooked the TV,took it to another room, hooked it up, just fuzz

Make sure the cable you now have hooked up to TV is actually hooked up to the dish. If you're sure it is then take the TV back to original location and hook it back up. If it works in that location you have a bad cable. If it still doesn't work it's the TV. The only other thing I can suggest is that some TV's must autotune before a picture can be shown. If you're sure you have a ggod signal go to the TV menu and do an auto tune or auto search. The TV will then go thru all the different possibilities looking for signals. Once it has completed the search it will then give you a picture. You can then go and add/delete channels and set it up however you want.

Hook up vcr

Unhook the dvd cables from the AV1 ports on the tv. Then hook these DVD outputs to the inputs on the vcr. Then hook the vcr outputs to the tv inputs (AV1). The tv and the vcr must then be set to channel 3 in order to watch the dvd (and possibly also some menu settings such as setting everything to "component video" and/or setting the tv/vcr button to "vcr. Also set all "3 or 4" switches on the back of all equipment to channel 3. Also, don't forget to go into your tv menu and choose AV1 when you want to watch the dvd and/or the vcr.
You can also try connecting your dish to the vcr and then the vcr to the input on the tv where you HAD the dish connected. There are several combinations you can try, but just remember to always put output cables to the INPUTS of the next piece of equipment in line, and set your menu settings appropriately on all equipment whenever you change from one machine to the next.
If all this fails, then here is a 100% positive solution. Buy an "A/B" switch. It has two inputs and only one output. You could leave the dvd connected as is and connect the dish and the vcr to the two inputs on the A/B switch. Then hook the one output of the A/B switch to the tv. When you change the position of the A/B switch back and forth, you will be changing over back and forth from dvd to vcr. You can move the A/B input selection switch manually or you can buy a remote controlled A/B switch and do your switching with the remote that comes with the switch.

Nothing but snow

Your explanation about a different TV receiver working OK on the same aerial connections leads me to believe you have lost the tuning in the faulty receiver...
Just "snow" with no sound is a classic response for lost tuning....
It shouldnt have lost the tuning as there is a small battery(capacitor) that holds the previous receiver channel settings when you turn the TV off. But as you have had the Receiver in the back of a truck and disconnected from the power supply for some time then this is probably the culprit....
This battery (Capacitor) may be getting old and has lost its capability of sending a minute amount of current to the tuner IC (Chip) ...to hold your previous channel settings...So if you can retune the receiver to the output from the Dish Network Receiver you should be fine again, but if the battery is shot you need a new one....or just leave the Receiver in the standby mode for a couple of days to re-charge the battery (capacitor) up.
You will need a service technician to replace this small battery (capacitor) its a special type made just for your receiver....
Hope this helps
