Question about Dacor Epicure ERD30 Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range

1 Answer

F1 error code, continual beeping all other oven functions work properly

The beeping can be stopped (temporarily) with a cancel function or other entry on the touch pad, or by shutting off at electrical panel. All other functions of oven work properly......how to eliminate and resolve the beeping and repair the annoying problem. Hours or days may go by without beeping and without any apparent use of appliance (3:00 AM) the incessant beeping starts all over again.

    Fridgetech,
Thank you for the helpful response, which I rated highly. There was nothing inappropriate in your response. I sent an e-mail to the website as the problem I had posted was redundantly posted twice. I reported that I had mistakenly made an entry that was ia duplication and an error. I am sorry they reported it to you as an inappropriate response. thanks for the help and sorry for the misunderstanding.

I have a jenn-air in wall oven and it has aproblem about the same. While not in use, it starts beeping and shows F-1 in display. You can hit reset and stops and you can still use the oven.

Beeping F1 error code. Cancel stops it for a minute. Circuit breaker stops it for about 1 hour.

I turned on my self cleaner oven this morning and it started beeping and flashing F1. The only way I could stop it was to push the cancel button which of course turned it off

Good Morning Monica, thank you for your post!

Based off what you have described your Frigidaire range is providing you with an error code of F1 after you started a self-cleaning. The error code "F1" stands for a runaway temperature (overheating). This could be an issue with your RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) or the EOC (Electronic Oven Control). I would recommend performing a reset on your oven and you can do that by disconnecting from your oven for ten minutes. If you continue to have issues with the F1 error code I would recommend having a professional technician out to your home for proper diagnosis and replacement of any electrical components. Hopefully this information has been helpful. -Matt

My oven keeps displaying the symbol "F1" and continuing to auto-clean

Try pressing the stop/cancel button, if this does not work unplug stove and wait five minutes and then plug back in, this should clear the display

I HAVE A GE ELECTRIC OVEN AND THE F1 CODE CAME ON OUT OF NO WHERE AND I AM UNABLE TO GET IT TO STOP. I FINALLY TURNED OFF MY CIRCUIT BREAKER TO THE RANGE HOWEVER AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES AND TURNING BACK ON...

F1 = Failed transistor in control

If code cannot be cancelled, replace the Electronic Range Control (ERC) or touch pad

You'll have to use the breaker to keep it off. The ERC is AKA the Clock.
It handles all the functions of the oven, and is a costly repair.

Usually recommended to use the $200 to upgrade to a more efficient oven with a warranty.

Thanks for using FixYA - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question.

Kenmore oven control beeps and shows F1

According to Kenmore's list of error codes, F1 means EOC (Electronic Oven Control) failure, and the solution is to replace the EOC. You might look into that. The part itself costs around $80, as far as I can see.

Dacor oven beeps and shows F1 code

-F1- Alarm “System Watchdog Circuit”
The system will detect a failure in the internal watchdog element relay circuits and will activate a
cancel feature. F1 will be displayed in the time digits and will beep until the cancel button or another
function is selected. An F1 failure could be detected in cook or time of day mode. With an F1 failure
the ERC is picking up a command to supply heat without receiving an input from the membrane. The
watch dog circuit is designed to prevent this.
If the beep continues after pressing cancel check the main control (ERC)

GE oven functional code F1 appears.

Hello, I come across this problem quite often, The f1 error code does not always follow that it is a bad EOC (Electronic oven control) This could also be a problem with the touchpad. The way to figure which is bad is turn electric off, access the EOC and pull the wire harness/ribbon tape for the touch pad. Reassemble the range and switch power back on. If you are still getting the F1 it is the EOC..If the F1 clears then your problem is with the Touchpad. If you have any other questions please feel free to comment again. Good Luck!!! Mike

What does the F1 alert mean?

Hello jiverson,
Welcome,

You said, your get a recurring F1 beep even after I press "cancel" I worked with the oven for about 2 hours trying various combos of opening the oven, pressing cancel and trying to perform various functions (light, clean, bake, broil, etc.) to no avail. I got it to stop for about an hour at one point, but it started right back up again. It also seems that every now and then the oven light will come on all by itself during one fo these alerts

Please send me your complete model number including the single diget at the end of the model number.
For example: FGB24S5AW1
Then I can be sure!!!!!!!!!!!
Waiting your response. I'll check for it through out the day!
And get back to you as fats as possible so you can take care of it Monday!

Huuum

In some ovens It could be failure of your, EOC (Electronic Oven Control) failure
