I have a philips go gear 1gb mp3 player i need a device manger software i need it

I've checked the Phillips website and the model number you give does not appear to be correct. If you look on the product itself you might find another model number staring SA.

If you then go to:

You should be able to find the relevant software for your MP3 player.

When i want to listen or watch it will say file format not supported.why?

certain mp3 players are compatible with only specific file formats, such as .wma, .wmv, .mpeg, .mp3, .mp4, AAC, apple lossless, etc. etc.... Just guessing, but you might be trying to use a format that is simply not compatible with your mp3 player. Go online to or wherever you bought the device, and look at the playback formats for both video and audio. Then check the formats of the music and video that you're trying to play (meaning the second half of the file after the ".", for example "filename.mp3"). If you see any of your file formats that are not on the product description formats, you've found the culprit!

PC not detecting mp3player and also not able chage

First, make sure the hold switch is not engaged. Then:
Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

Philips mp3player - not working in PC

Try this:
Make sure you back up all songs on the GoGear before attempting this solution.

1) Back up all files on the GoGear
2) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips)
3) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
4) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new

If that fails, the device is really toast.
