Why can't I space between words on my SC110? The Spacebar key can be pressed down, however, will not space between words.

Remove the R. black duat cover. Get some WD40 and spray the cam cluster and the related parts espesially the pivit points of the arms front and rear of the cams. They gum up and cause this problem.

SOURCE: The spacebar doesn't work consistantly unless ''pounded''
The spacebar is the most often used switch on your keyboard, so, yes, it's from overuse, but also from
the fact that it is the longest key on your keyboard and the closest to the edge, all of this combining to
make it the dirtiest key on the board.
So, get a keyboard cleaning kit, either professional or DIY which would consist of the following, cotton
swabs, compressed air, and maybe a toothbrush and realize that all the stuff that accumulates under
your keyboard's space key makes it harder to depress to the point where contact is made.
SOURCE: Spacebar is super sensitive. You barely touch it
the spacebar key is misaligned. you may try removing the cap but putting it back is a pain the @ss, and usually does not work. if this is within warranty, call dell and have it replaced for a reason that the key popped out
SOURCE: Everything works except for spacebar & key advance
The T/W is probably just gummy. Will it tab? If so the correction mech. is probably the trouble, if not try some WD40 on the silver shaft that the s
carrier slides on.
