My Whirlpool et21pkxgw01 refrigerator's lightbulbs just went out. At the same time (I think) it seemed to quit cooling the fridge section. Freezer seems to be working normally. I can feel a tiny amoun

The fact that the fresh food section is not cooling well should not be related to the light bulbs not working. The cooling problem most likely is caused by one of three things that have failed. CLICK HERE=> ET21PKXGW01 Parts Manual Go to page 5 of the above parts manual and item location 4 is the defrost timer=> 2193084 Defrost Timer Next go to page 7 and part location number4 and number 8 are the=> 2166124 Defrost Heater Assembly and the=> 2182380 Defrost Thermostat When you are ready to defrost manually and find the problem I will be ready to help explain how to test these components. How to replace lightbulb

Is this a countertop microwave or an over-the-rang (OTR) microwave? If it's a countertop model, you need to completely remove the outer case to get to the lightbulb. If it's and OTR microwave, there usually is an access cover located behind the grill vent. You can remove that grille vent by removing the 2 to 4 screws above the grill vent. Then either slide the grill vent 1/4" to the left to remove it, or else (depending on the model), just pull out the top of the grill vent, followed by the bottom. Then you should be able to see the lightbulb access cover. Usually there is 1 screw that you have to remove. But unplug the microwave before you to any further! Now remove the screw, lift up and remove the cover, and you should be able to get to the light bulb.

The lightbulb at the top of the inside of the side by side refrigerator was flickering and is now not working. How do I replace it?

First of all check on your doorr switch if the fault could be the switch. Locate it as the limit switch and press it many times to see if the light is coming on. Most often the flickering is due to the switch making the intermittent connection before the contacts burn off. So open the switch and use a good cleaning spray-WD40 maybe good and reset the swtich. If not you can open the lamp holderr inthe shelf and change. Use the correct tool to pull out the switch and lamp assembly. Hope you get this right.Good day

It is mounted inside the refrigerator compartment in the box that houses the temperature control knob and where the lightbulbs connect.

How the heck do you replace a simple lightbulb in the refrigerator of a ge ss double door? Very irksome that something that used to be so simple many people now have to ask for help.

I just looked at mine... it's a GE Profile as well and what I see is a plastic cover with the two temperature dial settings and the light behind the plastic cover. Once I removed everything from the top shelf, I simply reached to the back and under the plastic cover at the bottom and I was able to grab the light bulb and unscrew it with ease. It may look more difficult than it actually is.
