Question about Computers & Internet
I am try to connect to Verizon Fios internet on my pc from my wireless laptop, I have and Intel Wireless Pro thingy anyways before all I needed was the SSID numbers and the WEP numbers but now it is asking me for a Profile and Password I never had that before not sure I understand
Those pieces if data come from your FiOS gear. On the bottom of the FiOS Wireless and network set, is a serial number, and associated with that is another number, call it your password, but together they are the profile and Password with which you gain access to the FiOS Network, to allow you to get out to the Internet.
Check all installation papers you got from Verizon, as that information should be there, or call their help line. They are usually pretty good in helping you and FiOS is not off-shore, so you will get a good response.
