the file you telling is a configuration file which is used by both the devices that is your laptop and mobile.this file is needed for proper functionong of memory card.so dont try to delete it.

it must be in hidden format..

Purchase an M2 memory card. They are a fraction of the price online (http://www.cellphoneshop.net/m2.html)
2. Download PC Suite from http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/detailed/pcsuite/w350a?cc=us&lc=en
3. Run PC Suite BEFORE ATTACHING THE CELL PHONE.
4. Attach the data cable that should have come with the phone, if not, they are also available online (http://www.cellphoneshop.net/usbdacadfors5.html)
5. a)Choose Phone Mode on the phone to edit/add/delete contacts, calendar, etc. through PC Suite.
b)Choose file transfer to add music, images, and video. After choosing "file transfer," there should be a new drive in My Computer, put the music in the music folder.Source(s):http://www.cellphoneshop.net/m2.html

Make sure the lock notch on the memory card is in the unlocked position. it is a small notch on the one end of the card, should slide back and forth lock/ unlock. if this doesnt work try to put the memory card in a card reader and see if you can browse files on the card, if you cant, the card is probably gone bad..

My c902 has suddenly stopped recognising the m2 card

This may have something to do with how the m2 card is formated. PC systems such as FAT32 and NTFS do not work with cameras or telephones as the data cards in these devices are formatted to FAT16 or lower. In order to read the card when you placed it in your PC FAT32 would have been used.

If you are prepared to loose the data on the card I suggest you use a PC to re-format it to FAT16, your phone should then recognise it again!

Recovering deleted files

You may try mobile phone data recovery software, recommended asoftech data recovery which helped me before. You can download trial for free

Please be noted that your phone memory should show as a drive letter in your explorer, if not, you need to take out your memory card and connect using a card reader, or plug-in to card reader slot if there's any on your computer.
