Question about Kodak ESP 3 Multifunction Printer/ Copier/ Scanner

Feint printing have had our ESP3 Kodak printer less than a year, and we have a problem. I replaced the black cartridge because it was printing everything very feint (even though the cartridge in there at the time was not showing empty) the same thing happend again after two pages,I had done the alignement and head cleaning, Took out the new cartridge, put it back in and the same all over again, Whats up Doc?

    Printed off demo sheet, this comes out clear and Vibrant.

    have you printed a demo sheet from the printer itself? -this would bypass the pc settings completely does it still come through feint when you do this?

    Just as a matter of interest , you have not set it up in the HP Suite to run in economy mode or fast draft

For that problem kindly try doing the ff:

* Re-seat the inks both color and black then try printing
* Re-seat the Printhead of the printer then print again
* if problem still persist call 1800 421 6699 and the technical rep will replace the printhead

I have had exactly the same problem. I can't carry enough ink to it. Plus even more perplexing is the fact that it won't print b & w when the colour runs out and visa versa. I havent printed any colour stuff at all since replacing the colour cartridge last month and yet again it has run out. Advice / help siteuseless. If they spent as much effort with helping customers as they do with their useless junkmail then the servic would be better. Best advice steer clear of kodak printers !!!

Kodak ESP3 not printing


Don't have a solution but can confirm this printer seems to be full of bugs. I have reinstalled software twice which gets the printer going for a very short time only. It does not recognise the Kodak ink cartridges..! Very frustrating.

Have kodak esp3 printer said I needed to replace the color printer( which I have never printed before in color only in black) but okay I put in a brand new black AND a color ink cartridge it still is...


I could suggest that you contact Kodak direct as you will need to get a replacement printer. Log onto www.kodak.com and select the help and support tab. Select the online chat option and tell them about this issue.

I have a kodak esp3 printer and i have never been able to get it to scan. In scan mode it just comes out with black lines I can not find a phone number for kodak on the box or in the box it`s just like...


Dear Sir/Ma'am,

If you get lines on the scans usually the scanner CCD is faulty - Please print a picture and then copy that picture, If the print looks fine but the copy has lines then then scanner on the printer is faulty and the printer would need to be replaced (if in Warranty).

My printer will not print in black and white, as my colour cartridge is low. How can I just print in black ink? Kodak esp3 all-in-one printer.


Believe or not, a bit of color ink is require to make true black. However, from most application you can go in to the printer preferences and click the Color tab. Check the print in Grayscale and click the Black print only option. My instructs are based on an HP model printer. The preferences can be a little different between brands. But, you should have similar options. Check your printer's manual for more specifics.

Wont print pics


Open the kodak all in one home center on your desktop and click on [?] on top most right hand side. choose maintenance under general links and choose printhead cleaning. if this does not solve the issue, call kodak @ 1800 421 6699 and they will replace the printhead for you free of cost.

upgrade the firmware of ur printer.go to kodak.com/go/printhead support.take out printhead and ink cartridges ,reseat them again.if problem still persists,call kodak @ 1800 421 6699. they will replace ur printhead free of cost
