Question about Koss KS5192 System
Run a "Laser Lens Cleaner" by Phillips thru it. it's lighter than most and doesn't confuse the player. If it runs, you'll hear it spin. Then try a DVD. Also, on your DVD's, if you have any liquid car polish like mothers or meguiars, put a couple drops on the DVD and spread it around with your finger, let it set for 20-30 seconds, then buff clean with a micro fiber towel. This helps keep the discs clean as well, and does wonders for scratched CD's and DVD's. Well, back to your unit. If it still does not play, it needs to be serviced. What they do is replace the entire mechanism rather than perform any type of adjustment. The machine needed to align a lens is very very expensive. The average cost to replace the transport is between 105-175 so it may be cost effective to just replace the entire system. Hope this helps
