It's low voltage I would try another set of light wires...no harm in trying.

Transforer has three places to hook up wires instead of two

This will be for different output voltages.
Use multimeter set to ohms to test which wires have continuity.
If you connect Hot and neutral to wrong wires, it will burn up the transformer.

I have the alarm system hooked up, i have the remote start hooked up as well but its not turning over and starting the car. it flashes 7 times, (parking lights) do i need to install the starter inhibit...

The seven flashes of the parking lights when you attempt to remote start is the tach signal not being programmed. If you hooked up the tach wire already, turn the ignition on, press and release the programming switch three times. Turn the key off, press and hold the programming switch and start the car. Continue to hold the programming switch while the vehicle runs. The parking lights will be flashing while the tach is being programming. Hold for at least 15 seconds for a good signal. This allows the engine to "smooth out" into a normal idle rpm.
If the parking lights are not flashing, the tach is not being programmed. You may have skipped a step during the set up for the programming or, you have the wrong tach wire. If you went to a injector or coil wire, it is the uncommon wire. This means that there exists two or three wires at the injectors/coil packs. One or two of the wires are the same color at all of the injectors/coil packs and one wire is a different color at each injector/coil pack.

Make sure you reattached ground wire from coil packs if it has one. Also check to make sure you didn't damage connector when setting it out of the way.

Need directions on how to replace ignition wires and coil pack on 95 olds 88 royale.

Set your new coil pack beside the old one under the hood. Be sure it's sitting the same way. Take the wires off one at a time, and put them on the new one. Then, remove the bolts and wire connection from the old coil pack, and hook them to the new, bolt it on. Then, simply remove the plug wires one at a time. Find a new wire that is closest to the length of the old one, and install it, and continue doing this until you have changed all six.

Not getting spark

Testing the coil packs.

1. Get an INSULATED wire and hook it to a ground on the car.
2. Get some one to help you
3. pull a spark plug wire off the coil
4. hold grounded wire close to, but not touching, the part where the spark plug wire connects
5. keep hands away from coil and have your helper turn the engine over ( start car and turn off)
6. if there was a spark between the wire and the coil pack it is good. if not, the coil pack needs replaced
7. replace the spark plug wire
8. test the rest

Dvd battery

Hello sara_lou,

I have 2 suggestions for you:

1) Look into purchasing an external rechargeable battery pack for PDVD units (available at Best Buy). It is an external pack that will connect to the players AC port.

2) Prepare for surgery! You will need 6 rechargeable AA batteries, a soldering iron, super glue, and patience.

You'll need to open the battery case and look at the batteries within. Note the direction and polarity of all the batteries and how they are wired/soldered together. You will need to replace all these batteries with the new ones you have purchased. Wire together the new batteries in the exact same order and polarity as the old dead ones. Remove the old ones and replace with the new ones. Solder in where necessary and be sure not to bridge any contacts. Put the case back together with a little super glue on the seam. Replace into the PDVD player when the battery case is dry (or else you may permanently mount the battery case into the player) and set to recharge using the AC pack. if everythign was wired correctly, you should have a charged battery pack in about 1 hour (since most rechargeable batteries come with 3/4 charge in them).

While I don't recomend this second solution, it is plausable for the hobbiest electrician or DIY-er.

Best of luck to you!
