Is quite a common problem. I am asssuming you are on a pc and that nothing has been spilled on your Keyboard recently. Quite often what happens is that the computer for some reason gets confused with which language settings your are using (different parts of the world have different layouts etc..) This can be solved by

Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.(or just get to your 'control panel')
    Double-click Regional and Language Options.
    Click the Languages tab.
In the Text Services and Input languages pane, click Details.
In the Installed Services pane, click any keyboard listed other than US, and then click Remove.
When the confirmation message appears, click Yes.
Repeat step 5 until all listed keyboards except US or UK depending on where you llive are removed. You might need to restart your pc after this to effect the changes. (If this still doesn't solve your problem. Then you need to borrow another ketboard from a friend and test whether you get the same malfunction with their keyboard. If you don't get the same problem something is wrong with your keyboard and it probably needs replacing)

Hi, keyboard malfunctiopns can be caused by a few things. One of the major causes is liquid (the stickier the worse) being spilt into the board but if you are sure thats what hasn't happened then there are are other options. Am assuming you are using a windows pc? Sometimes the computer can get confused with regional language settings(different countries have different keyboard layouts)
If this setting gets changed it can cause problems so try

  1. Get to the Control Panel in windows.
  2. Double-click Regional and Language Options.
  3. Click the Languages tab.
  4. In the Text Services and Input languages pane, click Details.
  5. In the Installed Services pane, click any keyboard listed other than US (US or UK depending on where you live), and then click Remove.
  6. When the confirmation message appears, click Yes.
  7. Repeat step 5 until all listed keyboards except US or UK are removed.(Hopefully this will have solved your prob. If not borrow a friends keyboard, try it out on your pc. If you dont get the same problems with the borrowed keyboard then something is wrong with yours and it probably needs replacing)

You can temporarily hardwire your computer to the router (connect via ethernet), press start then runand key in CMD, press enter on the keyboard and a black window will appear. Key in ipconfig and press enter. Information about your connection will appear, including the default gateway (write the numbers down or try to remember it).
Open internet explorer and go to the GUI (graphic user interface), key in the default gateway (the numbers) in the address bar, then press enter (the address bar is the long white bar at the top part of intrnet explorer that says "address" in front.)
This will give you access to your router. Find the option to see the "network key" or reset the it.
Note: resetting should be your last resort

I am unable to do a question mark symbol - how do i do this...also how do i do a backspace symbol..... thankyou!

To the RIGHT of the "space-bar" on your keyboard is the 'ALT(ternate) GR(aphic)' key. Hold-down that key, and press the '?' key, and a '?' should appear on your computer's screen.

You can easily fix your space bar. I fixed mine last month when my daughter pulled it out of the keyboard. I used this video tutorial guide to help install the space bar key back into place. Its really very simple. have a look:

Space bar when pressed gives me a number 4

Try turning the keyboard upside down and shaking the crumbs out. If that doesn't do it, try blowing it out with canned air between the keys.

Keyboard not working.

Press the FN+NumLock key - you have probably switch on NumLock???

If not, then the keyboard cable has probably come loose.
Look for some way to remove the keyboard. Sometimes a screw from underneath, sometimes two or three small catches at front of keyboard (small gaps in metal plate in front of space bar). Sometimes top plastic bar above keyboard slides sideways.

Keyboard cable uses goes into a header socket - to refit:
Switch off and remove battery and power first!
1. Prise up each end of the socket with a blunt knife - the outer part of the socket should move up a few mm
2. Push keyboard cable down fully
3. Push down each end of the header socket so it is flush with the lower part of the socket.
4. Test keyboard
