Question about Xerox WorkCentre C2424DN All-In-One Laser Printer

C2424 "Printhead stuck in the tilted position..."

Hi Experts,

My system error code 07,010.43 apparently means the printhead is stuck. I need some help to get at the printhead, and some advice as to how best to clean any spilt solid ink off the innards if I find any there, which I'm assuming I will.

Anybody got a service manual or any tips please?

Hey guys this is a video tutorial that shows you step by step how to fix the error codes, on the machines that are on the title. Some of these errors are:
  • 7,007.49: The process motor stalled while tilting the head
  • 7,008.41-43: The head tilt is not engaged, or the printhead is stuck in the tilt position by the tilt arms.
  • 7,009.42: The printhead is tilted back but not properly restrained in the park arms.
  • 7,010.43: The printhead is stuck in the tilted position, or is not tilting properly over the CAM, due to problems with the process motor gearbox.
  • C3T Strip flag time-out during transfix.

Even after numerous on off sequences I still get the same error code of xerox phaser 8560 error code 07 010 43.22845

The printhead is stuck in the tilted position or is not able to tilt forward to the print position, due to problems:

Has ink spilled ink around the printhead that prevents it from moving to its center position? You should be able to push the printhead right to left. Clean the printhead area. Is the printhead stuck to the Wiper Blade? Check the process drive gears for obstructions. Ensure the gears are correctly aligned and homed. Has ink spilled on the Head Tilt gear drive train? Clean the gears area of ink.

07,010.43 indicates the printhead is stuck in the tilted position, or is not able to tilt forward to the print position. This is a problem that I would recommend you have a Xerox Certified Technician check and repair. (This is not a do-it-yourself type of repair)

That error signifies that the printhead is stuck in the tilted position, there's a problem with the cam or the pivot plate. It can be fixed by replacing the camshaft pivot plate kit, part number WCC2424-Z1.

That error means that the printhead is stuck in the tilt position. Probably a broken camshaft, or pivot plate, they come in a kit, the part number is WCC2424-Z1. Replacing that part will fix that problem.

The process motor has stalled while moving the Printhead.

You need to check the wiring to the printhead for proper routing.
Then, remove the printhead and check for ink spills in the tilt and drive gears.
Then, check the gears in the Process gear drive train are correctly aligned, in the coerrect home position, and not damaged.

You might need to replace the Process gearbox.

the error code is "printhead stuck in the tilted position or not tilting properly over the CAM, due to problems with the process motor gearbox" the 6375 is your print count, are you under warranty still by xerox?
