I bet you $120.00 you did not have a 1000VA UPS on it. If I was right, you can pay me now, and I can send you one.

You need a new TV.....I don't think this is repairable and if it was, it will cost you dearly.

The thinner they are the faster they blow...by the way they have a computer in there.
Why do people never us UPS's on their TV?

I got one for you after you buy yourself a new TV.

Hi,

please switch outlets and attempt to turn the tv on. If this does not work, please schedule an in-home diagnosis from a company like Home Depot or Geeksquad. They might use a multimeter to check current flow through some of the tv circuits to determine whether the power outage damaged any of them.

Thank you.

Wii won't turn on after a power outage.

Hey, recently had a power outage and now your Wii won't turn on?

Well unless your Wii is completely fried from the storm then this should work (It has for me every time I have had an outage).

After you find out it's not getting power then just unplug the power cable from the wall and from the Wii. Normally I unplug it for about 12-24 hours then you go plug it back into the wall, plug it back into the Wii, look at the power button and if it is red/orange then it has been fixed and you should never have a problem with it again unless you keep it plugged in during a thunderstorm/power outage!

This has happened to me about 8 times and this method worked every single time!

Remove the the plug from the wall socket(power) plug it back after five minutes. If the power outage was caused by lightning, then it is most likely static on the screen.

Had a power outage while watching tv. Then 3 blinking lights.

This is an on-going problem with DLP sets. Normally you shut the set off and the cooling fan cools the lamp down and then it shuts off. In your case, of which it's not your fault, however your lamp has taken a major hit by not properly cooling down, in turn, you need to replace your lamp at this time.
I suggest in the future if you have an electrical storm and a chance of a power outage while your watching tv, I would'nt play that model or any other model of a DLP set.

Blue vertical line running down my 42" Plasma TV (42PF9631D/37)

I was not sure if the line was going from top to bottom or left to right. the X driver board is for left to right and the Y board is for top to bottom . The Y driver board is a common issue with these sets there is a Y main board and a upper and lower buffer board for the Y axis

No Green

Check the crt board and follow the green signal path, could have a shorted transistor or a resistor out of tolerance on that line, check all the components on that line
