Question about InFocus LP640 Multimedia Projector
When I plug in the power cord the projector has no power. No light, no fan movement, nothing at all. I was wondering if there is a fuse I can replace or if the systems board will need replacing.

If you can, confirm the output of the power source! if you have +/- 0V on all outputs then you may have a defective schottky, verify if all 4 diodes on the
secondary are ok ( you can spot a bad one by the short circuit on the 2
The power supply of the lp640 has a protection derived by the functions of TOP 2XX witch in overload stops. therefore disabling the shorted output.
Verify the state of the fuses also.
Good luck out there ,

I have an Infocus LP650. Projector has been disconnected and sitting in cabinet for months... probably over a year. When I plugged it in, there was no lights, no power, nothing. I left it plugged in for about 24 hours and the light came back on again. The projector is working again! Maybe the power supply needs charging???
