Question about Timex Advanced Data Link 53722 Wrist Watch
It seemed fairly straight forward, the watch battery had been dead for ages and I finally got round to replacing. It was a case of unscrewing the back cover then unscrewing a plate that held the battery in place, swapping the battery for a new one, then putting the plate back on. I shorted the ac terminal with the positive side of the battery and then put the back cover on again, only to find the alarm beep wasn't working. The alrm test and also when using the stopwatch it would normally beep when pressing the buttons but it doesn't make a sound.
I tried shorting the ac terminal again, this time I kept it shorted for about a minute, and it did work, the time reset, but there was still no sound.
The alarm spring proabably was lost. If it was, it will not alarm again.
