Question about Televison & Video
I have a 27'' TV JVC AV-27320 (dated 7/02) Chassis A110. Ever since we purchased it [new] in 2003, it has gradually become darker in the picture. Contrast and picture are adjusted to the highest level and the scenn is still getting progressively darker. If the scene in the movie is set in a dark place (i.e. inside a poorly lit house at night) you really can't make anything out, until the movie scene gets lighter (i.e. turns on a lamp or goes outside).
Would degoussing help (I do not have any discoloration or strange colors at the edges of the screen)? Is there a tube or chip that I can replace? There are no adjustments on the exterior. If I have to take it to a repair shop is this generally a simple and inexpensive fix?
Disgaussing will not help this problem..i am scared your picture tube problem or try to change the crt socket first it is not cost much
