Question about Casio DR-210HD Calculator

Re: Error

The problem with this is the unit's printer. It is either the gears are need to be realigned or the printer detector is defective. There is also a possibility that an I.C. on its mainboard is already defective. The best thing to do is to contact the nearest authorized service center for casio calculators. They can either render a home service or you will have to bring your unit to their service center.

TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and hold the diamond key. Press and hold the + key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.

If this doesn't do it, please respond to this post and we can go on from there.

Hello,

Here is a detailed exemple. Hope it helps.

Some comments on the various variables (should the information be needed. If not need, please skip it.)

1.All you have to do is follow the instructions key stroke for key stoke, but enter your own data.

2. If a number is repeated 3 times like the number 55, you can enter it 3 times or use the shortcut in the exemple

55 [2nd][FREQ]3 [Sigma+].

3.If you make a mistake and enter the wrong number, use the [Sigma-] key to remove it. That is similar to what a cashier does when an item is entered twice: it is entered a third time but with minus sign.

4. Every time an item is entered, the display shows the total number of items so far. When it is finished the cashier press the key that sums up the prices to get the total. This is the role of the [2nd][Sigma X] key combination.

5. The average number of the data is obtained by the [2nd][x bar] combination. The last two key combinations display the two type of deviations.

Check the theory you have been taught and try again. If that is not the type of statistics you were supposed to do, then give more information.

Turn the calculator on and then alternately hit the 2nd key followed by the down arrow do this several times in a row until you see the desired contrast. Mine worked but the other places said to just hit the 2nd key and then the down arrow. It has to be done several times. I hope this helps others.

Enter the first number, 1.

Hit the σ+ (Sigma+) key. ( n=1 will appear in the window)

Enter the second number, 1.

Hit the σ+ (Sigma+) key. (n=2 will appear in the window)

. . . . .

Enter the last number, 7.

Hit the σ+ (Sigma+) key. (n=7 will appear in the window)

Hit 2nd x2 (by hitting the 2nd key you are actually selecting the x-bar written above the key.) This gives you the mean.

Hit 2nd sqrt(x). This gives you the sample standard deviation which we will use in class.

Make sure you turn your calculator off and on for new data sets.

To do fractions, just use the normal divide button.

To see the exact answer, hit MODE and scroll down to Exact/Approx and change to EXACT. In this mode, it will give the fraction always unless you press the special (green button with diamond) before pressing ENTER and it will give the approximate decimal value.

It sounds like there is a printer error. Take of the cover where the paper is. There should be a little ink roller. Try taking this out and look in and see if the rubber band with the numbers on it is broken. If so, the machine is not worth repairing, unless you can get it replace under warranty. If it is not broken, try turning the machine on and off with the ink roll out of the machine. This should reset the print head as long as nothing is in there jamming it up. Good luck
