How to set up data limit

I dont think there is an option to do that in android, each app has its own options in regards to video play back.

There are a couple of things you can do to limit your mobile data usage and monitor it:

1. go to your youtube app then press menu (three dots on the top right) then (settings) then (general) then check the first box that says (limit mobile data usage) This only allows HD videos on Wifi

2. go to (settings) then (mobile data usage) then (set data usage limit) This helps to alert you when you come close to finishing your mobile data plan.

Whatsapp's purpose is to use your data plan without using your texting. It only costs 99 cents a year and is not a charge by Verizon. The data plan is the limit. If you use that limit Verizon will charge you every extra GB.

Page Plus offers very limited data with some of its plans. You can buy extra data now but the $39.95 unlimited plan is enough data to last you all month for picture messages, not enough to google on your phone all mmonth. The boulder is not a smart phone per say, not like an i-phone etc, so googling is very basic and checking email is easy enough. Where I am located, if you don't have a data plan and you do start dowmloading games, particularly on line games, the fees will eat you up. Your service provider is trying to save you money, imagine that.

Get on a plan (that you can probably change as necessary) and enjoy your games.

If you are in the states you probably have to use AT&T micro-sim. First you have contact your wireless provider and look into a data sharing plan so you can share the data between your smartphone and iPad. As in share your monthly allowance. If you don't have a data plan at all then you have to look into purchasing a data plan from one of the providers that also offers mirco-sim, which is the kind that goes into the iPad.

In Canada it is Rogers, Fido, Telus, Kodoo, Bell.

Check your local wireless providers in other countries.

If you do have a smartphone AND a data plan BUT your provider wants to sell you on a new plan JUST for your iPAD don't do it. Consult your phone manual and google (if you already don't know how to) in order to get instructions on how to "tether", that is share your data plan going into your phone, with your iPAD so you can skip the fees altogether.

f you mean you want to access the internet through your network carrier's data plan, bear in mind their APN settings. Contact they, in case you don't know such data.
Then, go to 'Menu > Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Access Point names'. Once there, press 'Menu > New APN', and fill in a 'Name' for it, and, at least, your carrier's data under 'APN', 'Username' and 'Password'. Then, press 'Menu > Save'. Press the back button as many times as required for you to reach the home screen you were in, prior you started making these changes.
