Question about Sharp AR 163 Copier
We have two Sharp AR 163 Photocopiers and they were purchased at the same time. Now they both dislay the L6 problem just within hours from each other.
I had tried resetting all the counters but i vein. I had tried a polygon motor test but the motor does not turn.
Please advice what can be done.
The error is for the polygon motor if you have done the test for the motor and it doesnt work I think thereis the answer because they spin so fast the motors will eventually go if it had been a little noisy p[rior to this then it has a read or seize error if you know how to take it out youcan manually gently spin it to see if it is stuck just make sure you use a clean dry cloth to cover it prior to turn as you might mark the mirrors.. M2tech1 is right, that he suspected that the problem was the polygon motor. Actually its L6 sub 10. That means the polygon motor stops rotating or defective.
The solution for that is to replace the polygon motor.
