The back part between the keyboard and the sceen bottom pops out. carefully pop it out, they just snap into place. once they are removed you will see all the screw that fastens the whole keyboard assmbly. everything should be easy once you remove that cover. once the keyboard is freed, carefull pulle out the ribbon the connects to the connector on the circuit board. the connectors locks down so you may have to pop it up carefull so you can release the ribbon.

I purchased a acer aspire 6930 with windows vista from a friend and want to restore to out of box state but cannot succeed I've tried alt f10 but didn't work what else can I try

  • Press the "ALT" and "F10" keys as your Acer 6930 is starting up to launch the computer's built-in recovery utility.
  • Select the "Restore" option. This option allows you to reinstall Windows on top of Windows, which will fix your computer's problems without damaging or deleting your personal files.
  • Select "Next" to read a warning screen detailing the exact process that is about to happen to your Acer 6930.
  • Click "Finish." Your Acer 6930 will restore the version of Windows that is currently installed to its proper working order. When this process finishes, your Acer 6930 will automatically reboot, and you can use your computer once again.

How do you take the acer aspire 6930 apart to put in the bluetooth module, and if I have to remove screws under dvd drive how do I get out a stripped screw? Please give step by step advice and list tools...

You need a fine Philips screwdriver, or if they are Torx screws then a fine one of those. For a stripped screw... well an eze-out tool, or a fine drill. Sometimes you can use a fine nosed pair of side cutters and grip it and twist.

    Keyboard wont type

    Sir,

The Keypad is jammed or congested. Better call the Local Laptop service engineer to serice the keypad and get it corrected. If the machine is under warranty, the keypad alone will get replaced with new one by the Dealer. Otherise, small amount can be paid for the new keypad to be installed in the machine

it sounds like you might have an old driver with your computer or possibly a progam running in the program is not allowing the computer to run fast enough to play the music. also try disabling if you have, antivirus programs or anti spyware programs.

Did it shut off on the keypad? Sometimes things are being so frustrating that we forget that the keypad has a shutoff that can get bumped. Make sure it's on.

Brand new Acer Aspire 6930 turning self off randomly.

As for the 14 day return policy, I believe that legally that can only apply to refunds, and not defects for exchange. You may want to give that a try first.
If not, have you changed the setting to reboot on system failure in system properties? If not we can walk you through that and see what gives.
