Singer HD110C will not pick up bobbin thread. When I took a look at the bobbin, the bobbin case came out. After many tries and You Tube videos, I think the bobbin case is back in correctly, but the bobbin...

The hook timing is mechanically set. If all you used was your fingers, you did not change the timing.

First, just relax. There are a lot of almost right ways for the bobbin case to set into the hook.

Second, Be sure the needle is all the way up.

Third, wiggle the bobbin case around until it "drops" into the "hook". (The hook is the flattened cup thing that rotates around the bobbin case.)

Fourth, if there is not enough wiggle room, take out the screws that hold the metal cover plate. It should be very easy to see the hook and see when the bobbin case drops into position.

The bobbin thread will not raise with the needle

1. REPLACE NEEDLE W/FLAT PART AWAY FROM YOU.
2. MAKE SURE THE TOP THREAD IS PROPERLY THREADED.
3. INSURE BOTTOM BOBBIN IS ROTATING RIGHT DIRECTION. (USUALLY COUNTERCLOCKWISE) ALLOW THREE INCHES OF THREAD PULLED AWAY.
4. HOLD TOP THREAD W/LEFT HAND AND ROTATE HAND WHEEL TOWARDS YOURSELF. DOES IT BRING THE BOBBIN THREAD UP?
5. IF THE BOBBIN CARRIER IS INSTALLED PROPERLY THE HOOK (POINTED OBJECT) UNDER THE BOBBIN SHOULD "HOOK" THE TOP THREAD AND BRING THE THREAD AROUND THE BOBBIN THREAD. THE NEEDLE AND TOP THREAD SHOULD BE PULLING THE BOBBIN THREAD UPWARDS. IF THE HOOK DIDN'T "HOOK" THE NEEDLE THREAD THE PROBLEM IS THE DISTANCE OF THE NEEDLE AND HOOK APART OR THE TIMING. YOU MAY TRY TO MOVE THE NEEDLE TO THE LEFT SIDE AND AGAIN TRY ROTATING THE HAND WHEEL. IF IT DOESN'T WORK THEN TRY TO MOVE THE NEEDLE ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT AND ROTATE THE HAND WHEEL. IF IT BRINGS THE BOBBIN THREAD UPWARDS IN EITHER CASE IT WILL SHOW A PROBLEM WITH TIMING. THIS WILL NEED TO BE ADJUSTED BY A PROFESSIONAL.
6. REMEMBER TO PUT ONE DROP OF OIL ON THE RACE TRACK BEFORE YOU PUT THE BOBBIN CARRIER IN.

Singer sewing machine bobbin case keeps moving causing the needle to break.

Is this a front loading bobbin or top? If it is a vertical front loader with the little metal bobbin case, the metal case has to be lined up and snapped firmly into place. You should hear it snap and lock into place.

If it\'s a horizontal or top loading bobbin, and the plastic bobbin "tray" is rotating, then it may not have been nested in properly, before replacing the plate, or may be "jagged" somewhere... If there is a burr on the casing, or as in the case of one machine I worked on, still have a piece of needle stuck in it, the thread will snag on it before it finishes rotating and the rotating motion catches half way and will jerk the case right around and the next stitch will break the new needle.. Those plastic bobbin "trays" are usually easy to find and replace if they have become too burred to use. I have also sanded them smooth again as well though.

To test it, unplug the machine, thread your machine on top, but leave off your bobbin lid and leave out your bobbin, hold the top thread (like when you are about to crank to pull up a bobbin loop) and hand crank toward you, or counter-clockwise one complete rotation. Watch to see if the top thread is caught by the rotation hook and slips all the way around and back over the top of the bobbin tray, or if it snags on it somewhere.... Good luck!

I cannot get the bobbin thread to catch and pull through the footer wen trying to thread the machine?

Make sure your bobbin is placed in correctly. Thread is counterclockwise as you place bobbin in the metal piece. Pull thread end through sliver in metal piece. Hold on to movable metal latch then lock the bobbin in place. Bobbin should not fall out but is able to rotate. Rotate the wheel on the furthest right of your Singer 1507 machine towards you to move the needle downward. The top thread should then be able to catch and pull up the bobbin thread.

I have replaced the plastic bobbin case on the HD110 twice since I purchased the machine two years ago. I sew for a bit and then the case cracks at the edge; this catches the thread and causes tangling....

Yes, if I remember right, it uses a #15 bobbin which is available in metal, but I think that your timing or needle are not right. It may need a good old fashioned tuneup because that is not normal to be breaking a bobbin. Tuneups are usually is not a lot of money and well worth it.

Can't get the bobbin case back in on my singer hd 110. It came out on it's own. The manual is not very helpful.

If this is a vertical/metal bobbin case; raise the needle to it's highest position. This will position the shuttle to accept the bobbin case.

If the bobbin case has a lever on the back, lift it and hold it open as you place the bobbin case back into the shuttle. It should click into place.

Singer Sewing Machine model 9224. Bobbin thread

If you turn the handwheel, can you see a metal ring rotating around the outer edge of the bobbin case? If not rotating, broken gear or timing belt off.
If that ring is turning, remove the needle plate and bobbin case. As this ring now rotates, you will a finger on the ring that will pass behind the needle from right to left and it should catch the thread from the eye of the needle. If this finger, the "hook" passes above the eye, you have a timing problem.

Let me know.

Singer 4562 t bobbin case won't fit properly, what am I doing wro

Make sure the bobbin case sets sort of on top and not under the ridge of the metal ring. There is a small latch on the upper left of the bobbin case. It is metal. rotate the latch to cover the bobbin case and this should stabilize the case without making it immobile

Bobbin case and threading singer 6423

This machine has a black plastic bobbin case. You drop the bobbin down into the case with the thread coming off in a clockwise direction. If you look close you will see a slot in the bobbin case where there is the metal pieces. The thread will slide into that and as you pull on it it will work its way through and come out on the other end of the metal. Lay the thread over top of the bobbin case and turn the handwheel to pick up the thread. (make sure you close the slide plate)
