Question about Casio FX-115ES Scientific Calculator

My Casio fx-85v Super - fx solar power calculator has a display screen which is erratic, i.e, sometimes parts of the digits are incomplete or missing. I have changed the battery inside but the problem remains. Any suggestions ?

Yeah I had the same problem, you need to open your calculator and check if all the screen cables is alright, i had just put sellotape on the back of the screen from inside so that the screen hold better, and it works for me if for you not maybe something broken in the schema but try it. The thing I know for sure the problem is in the screen or from where it get the data the schema. Tell me if it's working

Try them by yourself or read the manual. You should be able to figure out most of them.

Batteries may be depleted. If calculator uses Solar power, expose the solar panel to daylight. On the newer Casio, contrast can be adjusted. Press SHIFT MODE (setup) and look for **<CONT>.**

The Casio fx-300ES doesn't have a button marked "E" (at least not on mine). On some calculator models a button marked "E" is used for entering exponents of ten.

If you mean the one marked "e" then this gives you the value of Euler's constant e.

To clear the display, press the AC button. To enter powers press the power key, labeled x with a raised small solid square. To use it enter the number: if the screen displays x with a dark square enter the exponent in the raised square. If the display shows a ^, enter exponent after the caret ^. Close any parentheses by entering the matching right parenthesis.

This can be done by setting the calculator to the right MODE. Press MODE 9 to turn on scientific notation. For example, compute 1 / 200 = and you will see 5 with a -03 exponent in the upper right. Press MODE 9 again and it will be displayed .005

To enter numbers in scientific notation use the EXP at the bottom. To enter .005, press 5 then EXP then +/- then 3. You will see it displayed. Then you can perform calculations with this entered number.

Hello,

Yes it does. All scientific calculators do logs, power, roots, exponential, trigonometric functions. Most do also hyperbolic and inverse hyperbolic functions.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

If you cannot find it, buy an FX-991ES. It is solar-powerd and it has the natural text-book display, which is a novelty in calculators.

I know that Staples carry the FX-991ES.

Hope it helps.
