The reason why this message is coming up is because your BIOS is corrupted and it needs to be updated to the latest version.

Go to this website and look up your model to get the latest version of your BIOS. It will tell you how to update it properly.

Error 0175 bad crc1stop post task

It maybe either a BIOS update is needed or a dying CMOS battery on the motherboard. I'd search the IBM/Lenovo website using the error code you've listed here to get some suggestions. Try this link and look under error code 0175 for advice.

ERROR 0175: Bad CRC1, stop POST task message Been using my IBM a30 laptop for some months but was surprised to get this error when i tried putting it on this message pops up ERROR 0175:BAD CRC1 STOP POST...

You obviously didn't read the problem carefully. The machine won't boot, so there is no command line. I have the same problem with a T23. It might be the CMOS battery that needs to be replaced.

Bad CRC1, stop POST task. The EEPROM checksum is not correct

This problem you may not be able to fix. There are a couple of things you can try.
1st Keep on rebooting your laptop until this error goes away.
2nd Replace the BIOS battery, it maybe nearly worn out. After replacement you need to go into the BIOS setting to set the Date & Time.

IBM Laptop A22e Display an error 0175

The CRC error (POST = power on startup test) on boot up refers to the BIOS settings. This could be cause by a near flat BIOS battery and it needs to be replaces. If it is not the battery you need go to the BIOS to correct any faulty settings.

I've only seen this error appear on IBM thinkpads. Your EEPROM with the following steps.
You can try this to test the EEPROM
1.unplug AC,battery, HDD and and your cd/dvd rom drive.
2.press power button,last more than 10 seconds
3.plug battery and AC power
4.power on
5.when see the IBM logo, press F1 button immediately.

If the same error pops up, try it a few more times. If the error keeps displaying then it is the motherboard
