I'm sure they didn't come with release keys.
Once the trim ring is removed a screw driver should be all that is required.

To reset the code do the following:
1) Turn on the car.2) The faceplate rotates out and the CODE - - - - prompt appears.3) Press >>' and Auto keys simultaneously on the faceplate and hold for 4 seconds. (If the faceplate rotates back into the console push on the upper left top edge of the faceplate and it will flip back around. Press the Eject button and then try it again.)4) The screen will still say CODE, but the - - - - will disappear! When this happens press the 5 key on the remote twice and it enters a K on the display on the faceplate. Hit the >>' key on the faceplate.5) Press the 2 key on the remote three times and it enters a C on the display on the faceplate. Hit the >>' key on the faceplate.6) Press the 2 key on the remote once and it enters an A on the display on the faceplate. Hit the >>' key on the faceplate.7) Press the 7 key on the remote twice and it enters an R on the display on the faceplate. Hit the >>' key on the faceplate.8) The radio goes into All Off mode and you are set! Hit the SRC button on the faceplate to select CD, Radio, etc.

1. Turn on the TV or component.
2. Slide the MODE switch to the TV, AV1 or AV2 position, as desired.
3. Press and hold the MUTE and SELECT keys at the same time until the green light under the selected switch position flashes twice, then release both keys.
4. Enter 9-9-1 followed by one of the following four digits:
Satellite - 0
TV - 1
VCR/DVD - 2
Stereo Receiver/Stereo Amplifier - 3
5. Press PWR, or other functions (e.g. PLAY for VCR) you want to use.
6. Point the remote at the TV or component and press CHAN+. Repeatedly press CHAN+ until the TV or component turns off.
NOTE: Every time CHAN+ is pressed the remote advances to the next code and power is transmitted to the component.
7. Use the CHAN- key to step back a code.
8. When the TV or component turns off, stop pressing the CHAN+ key. Then, press and release the SELECT key.
NOTE: If the light flashes 3 times before the TV or component responds, you've cycled through all codes and the code you need is not available.

Radio cassette removal from 1996 toyota corolla

HI
I took my car to halfords to have my stereo fitted (also bought stereo from Halfords). they basically had to taken everything out of the middle bit to get to the stereo (All the air vents and control switches etc). It took about an hour to do, but at least you know there is no quick way to steal the radio once it is in. I think it helped that I managed to get a guy that had once been a macanic so he knew what he was doing.
Hope this helps

Naka CD-400 output voltage inbalance problem Hi , i'm having some problem with my cd400 HU and i would really appreciate it is someone could verify this. The problem : The output line level is not balanced.ie the left and right has a very big output voltage differece and being such an CES award winning product i'm sure this is not design flaw rather an isolated case. Being a tech myself , i did my own the measurement of all the output line level voltages. Let me list down the voltages measured from all three pre-outs. Right Ch Left Ch Front 2.9/3.0V 2.2V Rear 3.0V 2.9V Sub 2.6V 2.5V I did all these reading off a true RMS DMM with volume at 60 ( max ) playing a 60Hz, -3db sinewave test tone. Though the variations are small, but , at the speaker's end from the amp it depicts quite a large difference in output voltage between the right and left channel . - ( Front ch ) Rite now i'm using the rear pre-out since it seems to be much stable and puts out nearlly the same amount of output voltage on its left and right channels. Is the differences audible with the front ? yes cause the volume was focused a little more on the right speakers. That was the point i started checkin all the components in the sytem and i must say i never suspected the HU as the culprit given its a high quality naka product. I've approched my dealer on this but according to them its normal, but i just cant agree with this since my stock HU gives out a more consistent level. I hope someone can shine some light on this issue. Thanks guys the reply would trully be appreciated.
