Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

1 Answer

I added songs to my microSD card. when I turn it on, only some of the songs added are there, but the memory is still showing that the songs are there, and when it's connected to the computer, and I go into its drive, it shows every last song there. How do I fix this?

Hi...

These are some of the cause on why these songs does not appear:
- has long titles - you needed to shorten it
- invalid format - the icons appear the same but the type is different an mp3, wma, mp2, wav ... et..
- has a high bit rate - find lower ones
- protected song - look for songs that does not require online verification
- the song contains a video - find a song that only play on audio.

good luck ... happy fixya... please rate.

ok the first thing to do is find out is , is it the phone or the memory card, so try another memory card. with a bit of luck it will be the card that is unstable. if its not the try updating the the firmware on your phone but do it using the pc suite that maches your phone and backup your entire phone contacts pics etc to your computer. now dowload and install the update usually the pc suite will do this for you. i hope that helps.

While opening memory card,it shows FAT ALOC ERROR,but in audio i can here some songs

There is a problem with the memory card's file table -- it probably got corrupted somehow. Copy all of the songs and other data that you can get off the memory card and then re-format it, and as long as there is nothing physically wrong with the card, it should work okay.

Ok so I put the little card into the big card.. then I insert the big card containing the little card into my computer. Now how do I get the songs to download onto the card? PNY MicroSD 2g

When you look into your computer folder (the one where it shows the drives like C:, D:, E:) and one of those will be your card. More than likely it will say removable drive or something of that nature. You can then drag the song files over and drop them into the drive. It's as easy as that. It will more than likely be your E or F drive unless you have a lot of drives going on.
