Question about Washing Machines

Shaking in spin cycle and tub moves too easily in washing machine

Kenmore ultra fabric care 2 washing machine was moved to put in a new floor. It shakes now in the spin cycle even with a very small load. We used a level to level it but it still shakes and the tub seems to move too easily front and back and side to side now.

Kenmore Whasher shakes on spin cycle

unfortunetly this is common , these new frontloads spin fast even with no pedestal these things move...
make sure the locking nuts for the legs on the pedestal are screwed securely up to frame on pedestal, also could be a floor issue depending on where it is, slooping or not solid floor.

Our Kenmore 70 Series washer bangs so severely during the spin cycle that I'm afraid it's going to launch itself into space. I already used a level to make sure that the machine is sitting properly on the...

Open the lid and check to see of the inner tub is loose. Grap it on opposing sides. Lift on one side and press down on the other side. If the tub moves easily the tub nut located inside / under the agitator at the top of the tub is loose. Also another thing you can do is reset the rear auto adjusting legs by tipping the washer forward until the rear legs are at least 2 inches off the floor and drop it back in place. They will self adjust. Good luck and if none of the above work repost here.

Violent shaking on spin cycle

make sure you loads are balanced, put heaviest clothes in first... if you can rock it by hand then the legs are not adjusted properly. If you stand 2 feet away from front of machine, jump up and down and see it move the floor is soft and you need 2 sheets of plywood to make 1 1/2 inches put under the machine

Kenmore washing machine will not drain

Replace the timer.
This is a neutral drain machine. If there is no natural pause in the timer at the end of the rinse cycle the timer is bad.

Washer shakes and rattles when using regular cycle.

just a long shot but open it up and grab the edge of the tub and give it a good tug and a shake in an effort to get the tub (empty) to settle in properly on the suspension springs inside.

Kenmore washer series 70 shakes wildly during spin during cycle

I have the same kenmore and have experience this before. It is unbalanced. Get a spirit level to check for balance. To rebalance, empty the washer (so it's not heavy), lean over the washer and grab the back, tilt it forward and the auto balancing legs should reposition themselves. Re-check for balance using the spirit level. If still out, adjust the front feet of the washer by screwing the legs up or down (using a wrench). This will cure the problem (unless you have a very unbalanced load of towels for instance). Good luck

Kenmore washer shakes violently during spin cycle

syrny,

Not sure what you did, exactly. First, does the machine shake when spun empty...and then with water only? If so, you have probably failed to tighten something or misaligned something. Go over your work.

No shakes? Rearrange your load. You may have a pair of heavy wet jeans which is throwing the whole thing out of kilter. It only takes about a half pound of sodden clothing to do this.
