Question about Nintendo NES Console

1 Answer

Thought I fixed it

I got this NES from a friend of mine and didnt have all the cables, Recently I fished two more out of my grandmother's atic, niether of which work. I learned how to replace the 72 pic connectors and switched some parts around. The kicker is that the NES of my friends Connector is fine and I replaced the cartrige drive and the light stopped blinking. Now the screen is grey. HELP!!!

Try wiggling the cartrage arround and then hit the reset button. Or if you see the title screen flashing hit the reset button

I'm looking for a fix to my super nes. Whenever i connect the game to the tv and turn it on with a game inside all i see is large grey horizontal lines on the tv. The game cartridge works on the first try...

i have the same problem with the gray lines but mine blinks really fast and its extremely annoying. I think the problem is the tv you probably hooked up your snes to. I dont you which tv you hooked it up to but ive heard that if you use like a modernish tv, it will create those gray lines and the blinking so you should hook it up to an older tv. i dont no if this is true because i didnt switch my tv YET but hopefully, it will work better with an older tv. hope this helps ^_^

NES console - intermittent, varying static sound

Your possibly using a wierd RF channel, try putting your tv at channel 3 or 4 and use the channel selecter on your NES accordingly

Porblem with my recently purchased nes

Make sure your tv is set to the correct input mode. Also, if the power light is flashing with a game in it's because the 72 pin connector for the games in the console is dirty and worn out. You need to install a new one AND clean your games. Dirty games will just transfer dirt to the new connector.

Problem with NES

Check on the back of the nintendo system if it is on same channel as tv, little switch is on the back next to the power cord.

example..tv channel 3 and nintendo system channel 3

If that doesn't work your cable is not properly connected, You can't use both rf switch and av cable. It one or the other. rf connect in the back and to coax cable. Av cable connect on the right side of the system and front input on tv..

Make sure your games are clean also. Good Luck.
