I have a proscan plcd3717a. The tv keeps turning itself off. It stays on for 2 to 3 minutes then it shuts off. The sleep timer is turned off. Do you know what is wrong with the tv?

If you don't hit a remote button for a few hours, the TV turns itself off. Check to see if there's a settings option to disable this power saving feature, or to extend the time before it automatically turns the TV off. Maybe a sleep timer setting? The sleep timer is off.

Time to replace your Lamp or Lamp Fan might be defective.

it is most likely overheating. you might want to setup your ventilation system in the house in a way your TV will be well ventilated...

turn off the timer

TV turns on for 2 seconds then shuts off. Sleep/timer blinks. Won't go back on unless unplugged and plugged back in

check your sleep timer settings. they stay on no matter how much you turn your unit on and off.
