I managed to fix mine after a little effort. It was blocked well up in the nozzle into a small pinhole where the steam comes out of the 'small kettle' in the steam mop.
To fix:

  • take the blue side bit off by unscrewing the two small screws
  • Undo the screws inside (there are about 11)
  • Once these were undone there was two screws holding the nozzle cover.
  • After unscrewing these pull the nozzle cover of and scrape limescale from inside the small hole where the steam comes out
  • Put it all back together and it should work much better
You should only really do this if you are competent as there are lots of wires etc. and if your steam mop is not covered under warranty as messing around with it will void this.

Hope this helps :)

My Vax VX24 steam mop only produces steam in spits and spurts. I cannot find any blockages

it could be a calcium buildup in the steam chamber. try running a cleaner through it (Like a coffee machine descaler) The other fault could be that its not getting hot enough to produce steam.

When you press the coffee button the machine grinds the beans, but then the water comes out the steam wand... please help

The problem is a very frequent one a small scale part have been moved and it stack to the water steam valve and it blocking it from closing completely. So when you make coffee the hose of water for coffee is in parallel with hot water steam wand and since the valve remains partially opened the water for coffee find easy escape from steam wand.

So we suggest to perform one more descale and it may need twice hopefully this small scale part to be dissolve a little bit more in order to pass thought the steam valve and thus the valve can close again completely. If you are not so lucky the part remain on the valve then only solution is to disassemble the machine thus clean the steam valve manually. In this solution you may find out that the valve o ring might be damage and thus the leak.
here is the link with steam valve parts and this the parts diagram of the machine and here many more for your machine

My CVA620 machine asks to "expel air " but

keep holding the hot water button down until you get a steady stream of water with no air. if you continue to get the error message after the water comes out, you will need to check the flow meter. if water never comes out, you have a leak inside the machine, a pump issue, or a blockage in the water path. That machine uses the same pump for steam and hot water, so if your steam is working, your pump is probably good. Blockages usually occur from not descaling properly. That machine is prone to leak at the hose fittings. the original o rings were black rubber, and failed fairly early. the replacements are red silicone and last much longer.

Water leaking into machine

it's possible, like mine with the same problem, that one or more of the plastic feet under the water tank has broken, then making the tank move and upsetting the valve underneath. My one always leaks clean water, never dirty and I have a broken foot.

Steam leaking from near temperature control sensor

your machine is over temperature. check your gauge pressure must be 1.2 bar only and you need to check if pressostat is cutting out and tighten the leaking fittings.
